Destroy the Charm+ Spell!!!

Having a charm spell is just as retarded as having an int spell since they both are concerned with money (if you fail something due to low int. you buy it again so int is practically money relative.) The lower your charm the better when you cast the spell...people can wear - cha items and intentionally start with low charm to get their charm at 1 then cast the spell, take off the items then put on cha+ items and have extremely high charm. This also gives another advantage for Barbarians since they start with low charm...like 5-7 x.x

We can all benifit from it even you can.

--Chris-- 03-09-2003 11:43 PM

Errm...I know that...that's the main reason why it's retarded =/ People talk about things not being balanced, especially economy wise...don't you think this is a major factor since everyone sells things for like double and buys things for like half? Low charm is suppose to be one of the main disadvantages for Barbarians but instead it's an advantage...so their only downfall is really just the int hence why it benefits them more than others. Damn it >.< Remove the freakin spell -_-

Nonono, unless a barbarian has some item with a total of 15+ charm and they can wear them all at once, then it's best to have a higher charm when lowering it :P

GK has no economy problems! If it's not broken, don't try to fix it.

--Chris-- 03-11-2003 05:07 AM

Errm...don't you think if your charm is high you won't be able to lower it to one? Unless you have items that are like -15 added up which would be impossible soon since random alchemy items are being taken out. Jeez! I feel like thwapping you all! Think about it god damn it >.<

Kaimetsu 03-11-2003 05:15 AM

The charm thing should work independently of the stat at any particular time - it should be a constant modifier. If you change your modified charisma by changing your equipment, the effect of the charm buff should be recalculated.

Tyhm 03-12-2003 11:48 PM

It should base off natural, not real, charisma.

Kaiser2 03-13-2003 01:37 AM

The problem with this: Why would they purposely create negative stat alchemy armor? i.e. Shield of doom, -5 to all stats.

--Chris-- 03-13-2003 04:57 AM

Because those items are obtained from random alchemy which I repeat to you Vlad "IS NOT A GLITCH." Random alchemy items are suppose to suck to encourage people to use the actual recipes which results in the armor with NO negatives. Maybe if normally alchemizing the items made them have negatives your statement would have been valid but that is just not the case =p

Kaiser2 03-13-2003 05:43 AM

Actually Shield of Doom is meant to be -5 to all stats, it's book says so, but Chris, if agreeing with you means we get to keep alchemy stuff, I'm behind you all the way.

--Chris-- 03-14-2003 01:07 AM

I just want the charm spell removed x_x;'

Kaiser2 03-14-2003 02:03 AM

Don't remove it :( It's useful for all people, sure alchemy armor with neg. charm are helpful, but last I heard, the armors are all being removed :(

zell12 03-14-2003 02:30 AM

They are and you will be lucky enough if you get some money for them. Stop complaining.

--Chris-- 03-14-2003 04:51 AM

Argh! The charm spell causes inflation! Destroy it :(

Kaiser2 03-14-2003 05:51 AM

Charm doesn't have THAT great of an impact on an item, unless it's like a really pricey thing, like RoW, so it's no big deal.

I use to buy itmes such as IWD and Enchant Armor for around 1350 plat...I now buy them for under 950 plat =/ I bought like 10+ of each and multiply that by the amount of players in the game since everyone at some point of time if not already all players with the exception of ****s have bought quite a few. Oh...we still haven't talked about the 967956948958 other items that are bought by the minute ^_^

and buying them for 950 plat is a problem? Just as long as you dont get one every hour then its fine, sometimes it takes me a day to find just 1 IWD, charm shouldnt be removed, its not bothering anyone, you seem to be the only one that has a problem with it.

Kaiser2 03-15-2003 02:16 AM

Since you have such an abundance of them...mind selling me some? -_- well, I'll owe you, because I owe someone already...
