Warriors...too weak =/
Warriors are just weaker versians to Barbarians.
Barbarians can get 20,20,20 in str, dex, con where Warriors get 20,18,17 as max (I think.) Now...Warriors supposedly make up for it with higher int and charm but the lower your charm is the better since the spell would give you more if it is lower than you could put on charm + items and int is more like money since it is used to learn skills/prayers/spells but you could always buy them again and make money easily so it doesn't really make a difference nor affect them in combat since both are mostly physical. Once again...this puts warriors to a great disadvantage having alot less hp, less speed, less ac =/ The picture of Barbarians and Warriors on the select screen shows you a dude with alot of armor (warriors) with a sword and a dude like in strips of cloth (Barbarian.) In my opinion Warriors should start with something like 8 more ac and 5 more wc than Barbarians and have slightly higher con or max hp than what they currently have. Right now...being a warrior is just picking to be a weaker barbarian =/ |
so warriors have -1 ac from the getgo? I am not complaining cuz that would rule since i am a warrior but ... I just say give them more ace -1 ac from get go would be all they need. I think maybe alittle more hp I suppose..
Warriors --> Defense Barbarians --> Offense Priest --> Defense Wizard --> Offense Theif --> wtf Priest --> wtf |
Kinatt, you mentioned priest twice :O! I think you meant alchemist, right?
Alchemist: Int Thief: speed! XD |

Yeah and Barbarians cant read so it's hard for them to learn new things so don't change anything, it's fine the way it is.
|
People still dislike Barbarians, because melee is more useful than magic, I mean, when was the last time YOU used a magic spell to fight in a non-magic-only duel?
|
It wasn't a duel... but in King of the Hill event... I was the only person everyone tried to kill besides the King guy because if they didn't kill me... my mass icestorms would kill them! XD

Yes, most of that is true, but often your spell will be interrupted, and stuff like that...Also, Ed, it was weird beause your icestorm was invisible for me, but kept hitting me x.x

try mana ball
magic/mana same thing yes? just a spell based off pure magical energy... I should note thats a bad thing... you generally want wizardry spells to represent a particular element(where priest spells effect particular faiths/monster). Other games have the "pure" magic area just as weak so there=P |
Warrriors are rare now because...
1. A player can survive on melee alone... so the need for a warrior's versatility isn't there. 2. Whatever a warrior can do... a barbarian can do since it's so friggin easy to get 250 platinum coin, ask a nice guy like me to identify loot, and buy literacy, ask a friend for Int enhancing gear, and learn it... making the difference between barbarians and warriors no more than a thread... By the way... it's dumb to cast any sort of ball spell at the moment... their damage:mana cost ratio is way too low... it costs 35 mana for me to cast Large Manaball... and it never gets the job done better than 2 Large Bullets that cost 3 mana each... |
I told stefan this and he said he would not lower the sp cost, or increase the size of the spell, just make them more powerful. x.x
I just need a list of spells that need more beef in them, hehe. |
I think they changed it shrimp =/ The highest I ever got with warrior after hours was 20,18,17 and with the bar the same on barbs on my other account I get like 20,19,20 or 20,20,19 or 20,20,20 x.x cha and int don't really mean a thing *refer to first post and Ed's 2nd post* and most Barbs have pow around the same as Warriors =/ My pow is like 12 or something naturally.....Barbs usually get higher wis too =/

My stats as warrior, this is from my memory, so it might be off a bit:
Strength:19 Dexterity:18 Constitution:17 Intelligence:14 Wisdom:17 Power:14 Charm:13 I hope I didn't miss anything :p btw, when I was rolling those stats, I aimed for higher int, power, and charm, along with high mp and hp, I could have gotten higher str and dex and con, but I wasn't aiming for that, also, I was aiming to get and learn a scroll of piety, I think you should be able to choose the scroll you start with, and be able to learn it no matter what! I mean, c'mon, I could've gotten better stats if I just got piety >.< Newer players can do it to, so it's not unbalanced :P |
Here...
Class ; STR ; DEX ; CON ; INT ; WIS ; POW ; CHA ; Net +/- Alchemist ; -3 ; 0 ; -1 ; +3 ; 0 ; +1 ; 0 ; 0 Barbarian ; +3 ; +2 ; +3 ; -6 ; -1 ; -1 ; -2 ; 0 Priest ; -2 ; -2 ; -1 ; 0 ; +3 ; +2 ; +2 ; 0 Sorcerer ; -3 ; +2 ; -3 ; +3 ; -2 ; +3 ; -1 ; 0 Thief ; 0 ; +3 ; -2 ; +1 ; -1 ; -1 ; -3 ; 0 Warrior ; +2 ; +1 ; +1 ; -2 ; -1 ; -1 ; 0 ; 0 That is the +'s and -'s for the classes when you choose in the beginning.. |
The thing to know though...they don't always work, as a warrior, according to that, my real str stat should be 21, but it's the same as my nat, which is 19. My wis stat is 17 though, 1 point higher than the nat stat through those bonuses.

Then it's buggy, because I remember sometimes your max mana goes down when you start, but not always.
Also, my real wisdom is 17, thanx to the stat bonus, but my nat wisdom is 16, my str is 19, in both real and nat, meaning I didn't get the bonus from that. |
