I used to know him as a friend person on graal and he wanted me to test his new media player thing. I accepted since I am nice and when I opened it, it didn't work. Later on Norton went wild with virus warnings and quarantines

I then used adware thing and got 99 new files. Something about ezula or something like that.

If an .exe doesn't do anything when you open it, SCAN IT RIGHT AWAY. IT IS MOST LIKELY A VIRUS.

Not really very true. Lots of executables simply run in the background.

Why wouldn't you scan everything anyways?

I dont have a problem, I got a FREE anti-virus, that stops any trojan, it brings up a screen that says something like:

*WARNING*

The file _________.EXE is trying to gain acess to _______

[Give acess] [Deny] [Cancel]

Then you click Deny, find the file, manualy delete it, and it hasn't made ONE copy of its self <3

I used adware 6 today and it found 99 corrupt files and it said I was infected. I deleted those and assume I am fine now. Norton sux.

Yea, but not in this case. Media players don't run in the background. Some .exes do, and if that's the case, then I donno.
Especially if it's not running desired effect...

Brad - I'm glad it's not Jman. I had a feeling that he was being controlled by a virus. Maybe. Viruses are going around that can be distributed via AIM...

my friend got a virus once adn the guy would open his cd drive up and put it back in over and over. then his screen qould go all black and the kid would talk to him and stuff.

I took someones advice a long time ago never to accept anything .exe
its held me good to this day.

I have my list set up so only people on it can message me. Then I except .exe files only from a very select few that I've known for a very long time and trust. Actually now that I think about it the only .exe files I've ever really excepted where programs SK would make to shut down my computer when I opened the file. He always got a kick out of me doing that. :p
