Old binds

the original /bind binds were temporarily made so that certain letter keys could be used to bind... when that was taken away my keys were still "half-bound"... now when I used those keys I get "Unknown command. Try help.". anyway to get rid of these?

Tyhm 02-24-2003 01:22 AM

Try clicking just to the right of one of the weapons on your quick-menu (that's the stat bar thingy), typing the key to re-bind, use it once or twice, then click right of the icon and hit delete to clear the binding.

wrong form of bind idiot... it was the type of bind you did with the /bind command... those type of binds are not done the same way

Kaiser2 02-25-2003 02:23 AM

I had the same problem, but no need to call Thym an idiot :(

graaliholic 02-25-2003 02:27 AM

Bleh I've been having that problem form months, and now it makes an annoying noise every time i use that key, which happens to be pray...

Right, except that they are.

Kaiser2 02-25-2003 02:59 AM

actually, Thym, there is a difference. If I /bind some text, I can't /unbind it. Every time I use that button, it'll say the text, and there is no "text quickmenu". Also, I had that error everytime I use major healing, which is bound to 5, even if I clear it, and put it back, it still makes that messge appear.

Juron Pilo 02-25-2003 03:16 AM

listen to me... the bind done using the other command can bind the same key as the menu bind and u can use two binds on the exact same key that way... now since I can't use the /bind binds for those keys anymore UNBINDING them is now impossible cuz like the keys are no longer bindable but theres still some remanent of the binding there... which causes the aformentioned message... btw u unbind /bind by using /bind # clear

Kaiser2 02-25-2003 03:34 AM

/bind # clear makes it like you typed /clear if you press that number.

Juron Pilo 02-26-2003 10:44 AM

so far as I know the /clear command just wipes the messages on your screen

Kaiser2 02-26-2003 09:37 PM

Yes, it does, and /bind # clear makes it so you can just press the hotkey instead of typing /clear.

Juron Pilo 02-27-2003 10:28 AM

that would be /bind 1 send clear-_-
... can we get back to the inability to remove these binds cuz the keys involved are not considered bind keys anymore so it woln't even try to remove them?

Kaiser2 02-27-2003 09:33 PM

Well, we could, but it won't accomplish anything because we have no power to change things, only the higher ups, etc, like Stefan, so mainly we just got to wait.

graaliholic 02-28-2003 06:38 AM

too bad stefan could have an NPC reset while he's uploading something that would remove all the binds, it wouldn't be too much hassle to put them back anyway.

Locke_boy 02-28-2003 10:36 PM

I have this problem, as well. It's annoying. :\

Tyhm 03-03-2003 10:21 PM

/clearbinds should fix it soon

Juron Pilo 03-17-2003 04:46 AM

your defintion of soon is quite long

Kaiser2 03-17-2003 05:40 AM

Almost as long as his definition of short for summoning

Tseng 03-18-2003 05:36 PM

You people are so negative. You compare a small chat command with a literally HUGE summoning project. The differences in scope are so large. I really am trying to figure out why you had to insult Tyhm like that o.O it boggles the mind.

You people also assume nobody does any work.

Wrong.

People are constantly working on things on debug.

New things are coming.

Just there are some priorities to get done before working on other things. Stefan's been doing a lot of work on the new exe lately, and that's way more important than summoning.

Just keep your pants on.

I was just refering to the fact that things are compatible in this sense, of course there is a large scope, but in this case, this is a pretty simple thing, isn't it?

I never assumed that nobody does work, I know that Stefan works most of the day on Graal, and so do a lot of other people.

Wrong.
Yeah, in my case, you are.

People are constantly working on things on debug.
Yeah, a lot of people know that, but many are ignorant.

New things are coming.
Why else would most people play this server?

Of course, but no matter the situation, people with ALWAYS complain, it's human nature.

Just keep your pants on.
What if I wear a skirt? :p

Tyhm 03-19-2003 10:55 PM

Just sayin' what Stefan said, I got no control over what he forgets. *shrugs* He's a busy guy, dig?

Kaiser2 03-20-2003 03:09 AM

I already stated that I knew that x.x
I think you should have a notepad with all the ideas that need to be done.
