Rate between 1-5 :)

Interesting level. I think it looks very nice although there are a lot of tile errors.
I give it a 3/5.

TILE ERRORS .5/10

Spark910 02-16-2003 02:04 PM

Who rates out of 5? Anyway I'll do my normal one, do a score out of ten and half it.

Comments:
These designs or levels can be good, but the only problem is, tile errors they seem to show alot as most of the time you do such small patches of grass which look horrible blank but if you put anything on it, it looks like a tile error!

The main tile errors are in the cliff at the bottom, There are some other tiles which would work better but after all the sea does corrode.

Then the next real problem is that the blue deep water at bottom is too blank, jazz it up a bit.

Shape:
Shape is nice and intresting and works quite well, the main problem is the cliff at the top repeats its self. So that lets down the level a bit.

Detail:
This sort of detail can be nice although in a level like this where the cliffs make the level crowded and have small spaces its less of a good idea. It makes the level look crowded and if I stood in it, I would want to run out to breath. So maybe OTT on detail.

Objects:
Overall there is a nice spread of objects which make it look great, although the left tree loos weird as its half way up/down, and looks like its only there to hide tiles behind it.

Originality:
Fairly original as not many people can do such level detailing, but at the same time I have seen alot of this and so it does wear off after about 10seconds.

Style:
Nice style, I like the idea of the two ''coves'' where the sea comes in which is nice, and overall it works quite well.

Sparks Rating: 6.5/10
--Reason for this is its crowded and a few tiles I wouldn't put where they are, also tile errors!

So that: 3.25/5

Let's see you do better.

Spark910 02-24-2003 09:16 PM

He may not be able to do better, but he can still give a low mark for the level.

tlf288 02-24-2003 09:27 PM

so you give it a 0.1?

are you trying to be funny or are you serious?

tlf288 02-25-2003 05:51 AM

Serious, if I was trying to be funny then it would be funny.

Spark910 02-25-2003 12:24 PM

Too much tile erros..
Rating:1/5

Nothing to write home about. It's ok but could be alot better. The water is the worst part. You only use one type of wave tile and it looks like they're all lined up in rows. Might consider rethinking that. I could comment on other stuff but the water is the only one that really bugged me enough to comment on.
