I'm starting to work with graphics too.
I made this shield based on another from g2k2.
Rate it. (add comments if possible)

Thats nice, it would be cool if like them yellow eyes glowed from:

Yellow TO Amber TO Orange TO Amber to Yellow....etc...

I dont know..I cant say the coloring is pleasing to the eye. You would go a long way with a bit more of shading, or some other sort of color variation.

well, it might be the style you're going for, but I must say that it seems a tad bit too.... "flat". I mean, you've got shading and stuff for the colors, but the shield itself seems like it's a piece for cardboard. Anywho, that's all I have to say for now.

Yes thats exactly what I meant. I just couldnt put my finger on it. I bet even pillow shading would do the trick :|

Just make the dark shades of the colors "darker" and it should be fine.

Problems:

1)Recoloring = bad especially if you didn't alter the shield shape from the original (horned shield) to atleast make it look slightly different.

2)I don't like how it's colored...I can't see a players using it.

3)The eye thing doesn't match the rest of it very well.

using other stuff and recoloring is a good way to learn
