RC and strings

I wasn't so sure about where to post this. So I posted it here. Hopefully someone who has a lot of knowledge on this will respond.

How come people can edit client.strings in RC. Was it possible to edit them on old RC's? In the future will it be possible to keep it where people can view them, but not edit?

I think this thread would be moved to NPC-Scripting.

Do you mean on the player's account, or what?

1) How come? Because RC is an administration tool.
2) Old RCs? dunno.
3) Future? Refer to #2... right now all client strings can be edited with rc (not variables), but in gscript itself, clientr.strings can only be READ clientside, and not written to, while client.strings can be read and written to clientside.

RC checks the client. strings saved to the account, and can edit them freely. Unsure 'bout old RCs. And there are two RC rights.
