Couple suggestions.
 

I was thinking, it must be hard and annoying having to get all the tons of weapons to enchant with Piety. So, I was thinking, maybe you should be able to change the god that's enchanting your weapon. Not related to gods, but, also, you should be able to prepare a weapon more than once, so if your max amount of improvement holding gets higher, you can prepare your weapon again to get more improvements on it. That's my two cents.

Well this thread is interesting. o_o I say we start making Graal make sense. Screw rule 345. Even though they don't exist.

Rule 346 states that no graalian that makes common snse will be listend to during and after the development

A fountain of cleansing/purifying/unmaking in the wilds near the middle of each kingdom. Anything thrown (traded/dropped) in is returned as its parts, with a 50-75% return rate. You drop in pliers, you get back an iron or two. You drop in your Vicious Axe of Bile with 6 IWDs, you get back 18-27 diamonds maybe, your prepare scroll if you're lucky, 3-4 of the IWDs and definitely the axe itself. Toss the axe back in, you get back a plank and 3 iron, sometimes 4 iron. Toss in you Warhammer of Govannon, get back your Warhammer.

And if any place on the isles would be patrolled by powerful monsters, that'd be it...

Okay, that idea is perfect, except it would be kind of scary if you had a chance of dropping in a War Axe of Ogma +3 with 6 IWDs, and then they all just disappear because of the 50-75% return rate.

It means you get back 50-75% of the stuff it's unbuilding. You definitely get the weapon back, you only get 50-75% of the IWDs and diamonds and prepare scrolls and enchant weapon and lower weapon weights back. So you can't just be wishy-washy, you still commit to making something.

That idea about the purifying winds is awesome, but it should have some handicap, like...put it at the end of a quest, nothing related to killing monsters, just puzzles, like maybe you need to do something to get some key, etc. At the end of the quest, some NPC could be there, that looks like a Sorceror, and says that if you want to clean your weapon of all magic on it (enchantments, scrolls, etc.), give him the weapon, and some money, but there is a slight chace you wont get back all the components. So, it can be that you give him the weapon, and 500 plat is deducted from your acct (the Sorceror has to make a living somehow :p) then some cool Gani with lights and stuff can occur as the weapon is placed into the winds, and then it is cleared of magical effects, and you get the items back (or most of them anyway).

If it's that big of a pain I'd just make another...

What if you have only a one of a kind/impossible to get weapon? (like me). And you screw it up? If you're not satisfied with the enchantment? Not enough slots? Don't want to waste 10k+ plats on a new weapon? Seriously, what's worse, 10k+ plat and many many hours looking for prepare weapon scrolls and Increase Weapon Damage scrolls or 500 plat, and a little bit of time to complete a quest? You make the decision.

I'm posting so it goes back to the top. People, post your ideas.

I got a Diamond force Porky enchanted to Balor because he's an idiot... And I prepared it, and gave it 6 IWDs, now I want it changed to Govannon +3, sinc eI can do that...

Nah dont put it at the end of the dungeons...maybe some wizard shrine thing
How about praying your god to remove the enchantments? Say your weapon is +3 balor or something..and you want it ogma, you would have to pray to ogma to get rid of the balor enchantments. Dunno if that made sense..
Say it takes you 1hour to get it to ogma, +1, then +2, etc. If would take you an hour as well to make the +3 balor sword +2 again, then +1, just balor, nothing.

Thats just for switching gods..not sure about the IWD/scrolls.

If the wizard shrine thing isn't implimented, then there should be "unprepare weapon" scrolls, which unprepare it, and return the diamonds to you, and the improvement scrolls yu used on it.
And praying to get blessing sremoved would be a good idea, but make it quicker, like switching gods: "The Prescense of Ogma within your weapon pushes you off the altar of Bile" "The Prescense of Ogma leaves your weapon."
