Player House Back Yards

I was wondering.
Didn't stefan say that there were gonna be a player house BACK yard/ front yard?
If so there should be a boundary with a fence and then a gate fence.

he did definetly say somthing like in what was it october? yes october about gardens

and there would be a square boundary maybe a command you say outside your house.
/showboundary and then it would show a sqaure blue line only visible to you. And out of that part if you drop an item there someone could take it.
But inside the boundary noone can touch it, it would say only the owner can remove this!

Then I could set up a market table and some tables and chairs, and not have to worry about them being stolen or people going around closing my door while i'm away :)

I think those fences (the type around bomboria) should be able to be crafted/placed

This would look good around a house

Selzar 02-02-2003 10:55 AM

Stone fences :D
and stone gate

zell12 02-02-2003 07:25 PM

No, you should't be able to craft them because they would be placed all over the island. And if you could, you would have to add health to them to keep them under control.

Or you could make them invincible and moveable by a person with jhouse moving rights (if placed on main anyone can pick it up) .. so if they are used to block a house than a king of general could pick it up O_o

Buidling fences will be added very soon,
also the look of the house should be changable (samurai houses have like 6 layouts/colors).

Admins 02-17-2003 06:56 PM

Something like downstair rooms, caves, second storey would be possible, probably with some help from the level makers,
or the stairs could be special items and when you place it then the stairs are added and are non-moveable and lead to a second room.

MKSLAYER 02-17-2003 10:50 PM

this is sorta spam but i'll put it in any ways..... I would deffinetly help with this if you would get me able to make it on DeBug >_< which i've been waiting to be added for about 2 weeks >_< i have a layout for pourches on the second story already and im experimenting with 2nd story samurai houses right now.

graaliholic 02-18-2003 04:27 AM

omi stefan double posted :| anyway, if the stairs are to be un-movable, make sure that there is a confirm thing so you can move it around a bit until you're SURE thats where you want the stairs, so that you don't drop it somewhere and the game lags and moves it in the middle of everything :\
