Monsters
I think its time we get more monsters that are stonger then T-Rex's and give way more exp
|
I also think we should starting having some quests for people to do over and over to get some sort of item, or maybe u can only get it once, or maybe the items switch over time
|
No more duneons like House Dungeon 1
I hated that how the items spawn all over the room and your able to get an unlimited ammount of the item. You should only be able to get 1 of the prizes on 1 account and its a random selected prize that stefan adds inside. and PLEASE no more monster counters. |
Well... unfortunately... this has been mentioned several times...

I dunno I haven't seen much interest in the administration of graal to actually mention, hey thats a good idea.. or reply in some way to these suggestions.. I think they should have someone to say hey thats a good idea we will work on it!

Yes, because people with 6 IWDs and alchem'd armor are the only people that matter in this game. Those of us who have our work cut out for us taking on regular skeletons at level 10 after being affected by a yet-unpatched levelloss bug from before peaceful mode with a mere blessed vicious axe don't matter - make more big stuff so the scammers, the oldbies and the bug exploiters can become even MORE powerful, making kindom wars even MORE pointless to the rest of us. |

I didn't like the Improve Weapon Damage idea at all.
I personally think it should be removed since it really UNbalences the game a whole lot. Or atleast something rare you need to add to the weapon alond with the IWD. |
IWD rox
|
IWD - big advantage, no cost beyond the scroll.
Enchant - small advantage, no cost beyond the scroll, same effect as a priest's extended bless but much more expensive Improve ____ Bonus - small advantage, gimungous cost beyond the scroll (superrare quest-only potions that don't yet exist). Reduce Weapon Weight - small advantage (as weight and speed have little effect on a weapon), no cost beyond the scroll. I see a problem with the setup... |
Ah, but before IWD battles dragged on for ages... without IWD's people would hit each other for 10-15 damage and be healed a while later, I tend to heal 2 HP a second, I'm not very powerful, lvl13...
|
...and after IWDs, battles were waged by the rich, with the poor hardly even noticable distractions on the battlefield...
|
I wub IWD
|
I think they should add monsters that are almost completely immune to physical damage ;)
|
So newer players can run at them and face a horrible demise?
I agree :) |
Something heavily armored
Also I think some monsters should have weaknesses to CERTAIN weapons or abilities or even swing types. like a certain monster could block swings, but sometimes they miss a block and a certain swors swing will do more damage than usual with the block (itd still do damagae if blocked, just not as much) |
more monsters? naw that certainly goes against my philosophy
*rolls eyes* do it or I'll fill you full of lead |
Tyhm is a genius.
Follow his ideas, and Graal Kingdoms will be golden. So I think, from reading through this thread. |
hey it was MY idea first! AND OMG SOMEBODY ACTUALLY DID IT! MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!

Yay. It's exciting to see something big added. I may even come back .. if I get restored .. hahah. I think this is a big step towards fixing things .. these new monsters will help gain experience more easily, and get cool prizes too .. :) |
Again with these threads about weakening Melee fighters and such, instead of you know, finishing/fixing the Magic users.
Yeah I do agree, we need monsters that are supremely armoured but weak to magic to even out the monsters. What I don't get is all this talk about balance, and I don't mean the alchemy armour because that does need to be removed. But everyone complaining about how strong oldbies are and how IWDs are unfair and how its not easy being new. This game is not made for there to be a balance between young and old, thats the whole point of having an experience system. The longer you play, the more money you get and the stronger you get. Then you can go and afford the IWDs and the high priced rings and powerful spells. It does however need to be balanced out between the classes, and if you read my thread in the 2K2 main forum I go into how that needs to be done, and its not taking away every privaledge you can from the Melee people :\ . If you do that then everyone is weak, if you finish the other classes then everyone would be stronger. |

You're completely right. Keep pounding it into their heads, and hopefully it will be added, and things will finally be balanced. |
Man...is that how we sound?
I'm not saying newbies should be able to take oldbies in a 1 on 1. Just that oldbies keep getting More Bigger Harder monsters because they've got 5 IWDs and so are not challenged by skeletons, while I have a Vicious Axe with no IWDs and can't beat them. There's no bridge between fighting dievils for no gain and fighting skeletons at great risk to a newbie's health. |

I mean personally on this topic I think the price of IWDs and Prepares should be cut in half at least. And Stefan needs to set the drop rates for body parts back to the way it should be so people can make money easier. |
Hear hear! They're not rare enough to be uncommon, just expensive enough to create class warfare.
In D&D, when a player goes for the cheatingly-powerful unbalanced upgrades, they're called a Minimaxer, it's a bad thing, it's bad for RPing when everyone has a shortspear and a greatsword. In G2K2, that's just how you play - you either load up with all the IWDs, or your weapon is inferior. Lower Weapon Weight should create some balance, but the speed is locked in at a specific value, so it doesn't. I don't like how the game's becoming less Role playing and more Power building, but that's life I suppose. You can't gain power without buttonmashing or scamming, you can't win a fight without gaining power. I'd change it all if I were allowed, but it'd require starting over. I guess G2K2's just gonna keep on being good for what it is, another Video "RP"G... |

hey, I got powerful without button mashing or scamming, and yes, item drop needs to be retrurned to how it was. Stefan told me he would with the addition of new baddies, but I have yet to experience it...
Yes, IWDs should have their prices reduced, it's too costly for newbies. |
Tyhm, for real roleplaying all systems (leveling etc.) are a problem since they limit the player and force the player to beat quests/kill monsters/solve puzzles to break the limits. In my opinion for roleplaying you basicly need a way to change your own look, have locations like churches, villages, markets, forests, waterfalls and organize the events and living. But on the other hand many players want to have fun without needing to investigate a lot of time into building a virtual character and following rules when meeting other players, I think for that some basic environment can be good, some environment where they can get weapons, a home, fight monsters, collect items etc.

Prop 3 Sure but lets just have 3 levels so nobody is God-Like and can't be destroyed. Like Level 2 would take you to get 500,000 and Level 3 would take you to get 5,000,000 exp. Even thou you would be strong, you won't be unstoppable and it will take you a long time of hunting monsters to get to the highest level. Eveything else we keep the same with armor, magic and etc...So if you have two level 1's, one could be stronger because of armor quality or better sword. And now battles could be fought more on skill then who is the higher level player. |
Would you knock it off with Prop 3? Nobody's gonna be thrilled with the prospect of not being able to advance past level 3 and taking a full year just to get there. It's a stupid idea.
Stefan - balance is also crucial to RPing. Right now every system on G2K2 is linear - strong or weak. A L15 warrior with a vicious axe of Ogma with 5 IWDs and a Plate Mail of Ruggli is strong, he is the highest achievement, the one everyone wants in their kingdom, the champion. While this is not bad, it means the L15 Thief with the Black Dagger of Stealth or whatever and no armor has wasted his time, as has the noble Barbarian Ranger, the Kindly Priest, the Wise Sorceror, and the Genius Alchemist. There's only one kind of hero on G2K2 - the Strong kind, the ones that kill the most stuff and scam expertly to buy more upgrades, because that's the only reward system. If players were rewarded for acts of kindness and intelligence and peace, then perhaps we would see Roleplaying move in different directions than Everyone get the best weapon and kill stuff. |
I just get stronger so I can ge more money to get more spells, I like to collect things, and I wanna be seen as the wise man who knows all the spells and prayers, and Tyhm, Plate Mail of Power is the strongest armor :P
|
I think what you want is a bit overambitious Tyhm... get back down to earth... professionals have tried to do this kinda think before and you know what? neva works. ppl just find ways to exploit these jobs with things like macros...
as for stefan... the attempts to tie in with roleplaying are killing the game man... its common knowledge roleplaying is one of those niche crowds... MMORPGs are not... you'd probably make more money if you focused on making that end work right... but nah what do I as an avid game player know?:p |
I like the part whre STefan said abot makin specific characters and having different locations of living
|
I want to live with stefan in stefanopolis.
|
LISTEN TO TYHM, AND GRAAL KINGDOMS WILL BE A REAL MMORPG.
No more of this crap we have to deal with. Tyhm knows what he's talking about, and EVERYTHING he says make sense! How hard is this to see?! |
Thanks for the support. ^_^
