Also good news people, PW Team are now checking every UC PW one by one to see whats happening and whats going on. Which is a cool idea as they can see who is worth coming up. And who should just be closed right now.

Yes, Angel is the new PW Reviewer now. I was also hesitant, because Era is such a new and successful playerworld, I didn't want to see it go down the drain once she left, but she insisted that it would be alright.

Angel was chosen for a few reasons. Firstly, she has very good contacts with Stefan and Unixmad. Let's face it, if things are to get done with the PWA then we need communication with them. I can't sit on the debug server all day and hope that Stefan will come on so he might consider what I have to say. It's even harder to get in touch with Unixmad because I can only do so through a forum PM. I also know she can keep her word and she's very punctual about things. Example: remember when Era got put into private to fix things up? She said it'd take a week or two, and it actually was a week or two, not 3, 4 or months.

Angel also has some exceptional scripting skills. She used to work on 2k2 for Stefan scripting things before she went to work on Era. Her activity is also quite high, reachable on AIM and through the game frequently, and there is no doubt that her commitment to the game is outstanding.

I'm sure there are other reasons why she's a good choice, and now that she has left Era, she is free of any staff hierarchy (with the excepotion of the PWA) so she can perform her duties unbiased. Some of you may think this is subjective, or controversial, I really don't care. If the topic gets out of hand, it'll be deleted.

Nothing was happening with Era while you were there, and nothing is happening now. So I guess it doesn't matter. :p

I'd like to know HOW she got hired though... did she ask? Because I could have sworn that "asking" meant you were automatically blacklisted. I really doubt Aftershock asked her, seeing from his post, it sounds like he was apprehensive about taking her in. I always wanted to know the super secret way of getting hired for PWA when you can't ask to be staff in the first place.

Also, I dunno about you, but I kinda think Angel isn't a very good choice simply because she does tend to lie, and she also JUST LEFT A PLAYERWORLD JOB to work for the team, so whose to say she doesn't fail all the pw's she recieves, take their ideas, and give them to her friends at Era? I know this is the topic that you don't want to discuss, but corruption in the PWA is real (as we saw with Icehawk and maloria, it was Icehawk right?) I'm just saying, the PWA has to be unbiased, and totally unaffiliated with other playerworlds. Just like I couldn't join PWA while a team of people worked on Oasis for me.

Yeah your pw can get off the private list in a year, then get reset within a week, and only have like 75 levels and nothing to do, and you wonder why it got off the private list within a year. I have every right to judge you. You lie about your identity TWICE to me, and others as well.

I have been thinking about someone new to the team for a very long time, man. This isn't some "hmm.. let me think. Yeah angel is cool, she asked, we'll hire her."

There are lots of totally capable people, like yourself included that could be part of the team. This isn't some super smart elitist group that requires you to be a part of mensa or know secrets more classifieed than Area 51 to join, you just need some common sense and commitment.

I was chosen by Torankusu (with the approval of the others I imagine) to be part of the PW team. Why? I don't exactly know, but they told me I had a good idea of managment and the way things run in Graal. I was also totally free of any server affiliations so in theory I would be unbaised.

The "If you ask you get automatically blacklisted" thing was Psyker's thing, and maybe Jinx's, I don't know... but seriously, I don't care if people ask me. I'll just tell them we're not hiring right now or ask again some other time. If I blacklisted everyone that asked me there would be no more people left to be on the team, with the exception of the clueless new guy who just joined Graal. Seriously, how am I supposed to figure out who wants to be a part and who has a sense of direction if I tell people they'll never get on if they ask? At least when we chose I had a wide range/selection of people that were candidates.

Personally, I have never had any instances where Angel has lied to me, you may have, but I haven't. If that's a problem in the future (which I'm sure it won't) then we'll deal with that then, but for now we're working with a clean slate. Also, the fact that she has strong contacts with Stefan and Unixmad will help a lot because we may be able to get things done in the past we never could have. I know, some of you may think "It's unfair that the decision was partially based on the fact that she can speak with Stefan and Unixmad more readily than the rest of us" but we need to get moving, get things done, and it's hard to do so without reaching them.

By the way, about her giving away submitted PW material to Era just because she was affiliated with it, well.. I was once affiliated with Graal 2001, and Graal 3000. Assuming Graal 3K was online, I could have submitted loads of things to them to make their server better. I'd like for you to name one person that is not affiliated or formerly affiliated with a playerworld, that has a decent understanding of the way graal in terms of staff and community and is readily active.

We may hire another person in the future, so this isn't the end of the world.

there should be a fuss over angel leaving era not her getting hired, i mean congrats and all but don't leave era becuase i love it :[

What's an app for reviewing servers..?
You'd have to give them a server and have them rate it, then see how they rate it to judge them :|

i don't know how to say i want to be a PW reviewer without sounding like a arragent greedy power-hungry person,
i just wanna be one so i can help out more and it actully seems like ALOT of fun, i think i would see it more like a privlage then a Job, i mean you get to review/play PWs BEFORE they come out....what more could you ask. and you could keep trash off of graal 8-)
