Okay, here's my addtiledef2 thingy, rate 1-10 please and give my comments etc. to lemme improve:

AlexH 01-20-2003 10:10 PM

Can you use it in a level.
Much easier to see if they look good.

Goboom 01-20-2003 10:12 PM

I think im being Generous....
.001/10

LordZen 01-21-2003 06:54 AM

yea the image seems a bit mediocre. I think its mostly your coloring technique and to many straight lines. yea.

1/10 :(

Acererak 01-21-2003 06:57 AM

what's it for?

Yeah, i know i suck, but i don't have any good Tile-making NAT on the moment. Further, i will post a level with how it would look like. And, thanks for the 1 for trying, ;D
But, because of some troubles with the script, this is how it turns out. (Check attachment). AND I NEED HINTS!!! I only got 1!!!
And this is my script:
addtiledef2 test.png,new,0,0;

GoZelda 01-21-2003 06:18 PM

TILEMAKING NAT?! I'm such an idiot. It's GAT (no i DONT do this for extra posting or something)

AlexH 01-21-2003 06:19 PM

It looks as though you've just use the house from pre defined objects (with new tileset of course).
Your gonna have to put the house together with your new tiles then if you want you can save it as a basic house with your tileset into pre defined objects.

GoZelda 01-21-2003 06:20 PM

Mmm... I take a better look and i see it IS bad. The window and the light-brown round the wood sucks... I would give it a 2/10 for trying AND to make it look a BIT good.

GoZelda 01-21-2003 07:52 PM

It isn't the predifined objects thing, troubles with the addtiledef2 script.

Okay, i made a screenshot. The grass is a bit bugged because i edit in Paint, saved as .gif and then used the gif2mng file.
Here is it:

And i made one with a side-building and a roof.

GoZelda 01-21-2003 08:03 PM

Oh, i will tell ya what i updated:
1 thing ;) The light-brown shade thing, made it lighter and one row less.

Butz 01-22-2003 12:05 AM

You need a bit more shading.. things are way too plain. It's a good start though, oh, and although it's a level thing, and not a graphical thing, make the house taller, or else that's one very big Graalian ^.~;

LordZen 01-22-2003 03:23 AM

You just posted 5 times in a row! DONT do it again..

Zen y are you so sexy?

btw, house=to flat

GoZelda 01-22-2003 02:32 PM

I no, i thought of it and i'm going to add some higher thing, but how do i get it less flat? BTW sorry of the posts, Zen

Butz 01-22-2003 05:02 PM

It looks flat because It's basically one single color. If you shaded it, then it would look a bit more "alive" so to speak.

Well, i updated the GFX, a few errors, what do you say about the hight and the roof?

syltburk 01-22-2003 08:23 PM

The walls is still to flat, and change back to ur other color.

tlf288 01-22-2003 10:26 PM

Those outside walls would look very good for inside walls. :)

--Chris-- 01-22-2003 10:38 PM

I sort of like the grassy/swampy looking tiles, a decent recolor, would look good in swampy, watery type levels and the red roof thingy is "ok" but I can't see 'em being used in mass on numerous houses x.x

getting better, slowly, keep going....

GoZelda 01-30-2003 09:15 PM

k, what should i do next?

syltburk 01-30-2003 09:29 PM

0.o door done? isnt that random tileset door?

GoZelda 01-31-2003 01:01 PM

The door wouldn't fit in the house w/roof, i like the old door.

Butz 01-31-2003 05:33 PM

Just a thought, but wouldn't the shingles hang over the front of the house a bit?

GoZelda 01-31-2003 05:37 PM

shingles??? dunno what that means, i'm not english x.x

Mykel 01-31-2003 08:10 PM

well, it can mean 2 things...:

1. a disease you dont want
or # 2 which he means

2. the little squares on the top of the house that keep the roof from leaking.

GoZelda 02-01-2003 01:50 PM

no bricks are the color he has..

GoZelda 02-02-2003 11:13 AM

we had dark-orange brick :-/ it's like the stones with house-building on 2k2

Butz 02-02-2003 09:58 PM

Bricks aren't usually stacked like that though...
NPC Code:

-----------------------------------
| | | |
-----------------------------------

-----------------------------------

Usually a pattern like that.

GoZelda 02-03-2003 09:11 PM

you're right, :-/
