Okay, here's my addtiledef2 thingy, rate 1-10 please and give my comments etc. to lemme improve:
|
Can you use it in a level.
Much easier to see if they look good. |
I think im being Generous....
.001/10 |
yea the image seems a bit mediocre. I think its mostly your coloring technique and to many straight lines. yea.
1/10 :( |
what's it for?

Yeah, i know i suck, but i don't have any good Tile-making NAT on the moment. Further, i will post a level with how it would look like. And, thanks for the 1 for trying, ;D
But, because of some troubles with the script, this is how it turns out. (Check attachment). AND I NEED HINTS!!! I only got 1!!! And this is my script: addtiledef2 test.png,new,0,0; |
TILEMAKING NAT?! I'm such an idiot. It's GAT (no i DONT do this for extra posting or something)
|
It looks as though you've just use the house from pre defined objects (with new tileset of course).
Your gonna have to put the house together with your new tiles then if you want you can save it as a basic house with your tileset into pre defined objects. |
Mmm... I take a better look and i see it IS bad. The window and the light-brown round the wood sucks... I would give it a 2/10 for trying AND to make it look a BIT good.
|
It isn't the predifined objects thing, troubles with the addtiledef2 script.

And i made one with a side-building and a roof.
|
Oh, i will tell ya what i updated:
1 thing ;) The light-brown shade thing, made it lighter and one row less. |
You need a bit more shading.. things are way too plain. It's a good start though, oh, and although it's a level thing, and not a graphical thing, make the house taller, or else that's one very big Graalian ^.~;
|
You just posted 5 times in a row! DONT do it again..

btw, house=to flat |
I no, i thought of it and i'm going to add some higher thing, but how do i get it less flat? BTW sorry of the posts, Zen
|
It looks flat because It's basically one single color. If you shaded it, then it would look a bit more "alive" so to speak.

Well, i updated the GFX, a few errors, what do you say about the hight and the roof?
|
The walls is still to flat, and change back to ur other color.
|
Those outside walls would look very good for inside walls. :)
|
I sort of like the grassy/swampy looking tiles, a decent recolor, would look good in swampy, watery type levels and the red roof thingy is "ok" but I can't see 'em being used in mass on numerous houses x.x

getting better, slowly, keep going....
|
k, what should i do next?
|
0.o door done? isnt that random tileset door?
|
The door wouldn't fit in the house w/roof, i like the old door.
|
Just a thought, but wouldn't the shingles hang over the front of the house a bit?
|
shingles??? dunno what that means, i'm not english x.x
|
well, it can mean 2 things...:
1. a disease you dont want or # 2 which he means 2. the little squares on the top of the house that keep the roof from leaking. |
Bricks
