Sword techniques?

Maybe the swords (And other weapons, maybe) should have the S+back attack changed. The jumping and stabbing thing is so unused and stuff, and I thought this may be a nice idea. You see, we make techniques for S+back, and you select in some menu or something what technique (Or maybe it changes with the weapon?) you want to set for s+back. And, the technique should do serious damage or double attack or something, but use MP/SP. Like, for example, I was bored and made this power-stabbing-type-thing. And, it has light effects, the sword trail behind the real sword in graalshop appears in-game as a red-ish light effect behind the sword. It doesn't look that good in Graalshop, but it'll probably look good in game.

-EDIT- I changed the sound on the gani, mleh.

it would be based on Physique level.

When you reach level 5 you get a better techinique so your old S backflip thing would be something else and would deal with more damage.

lvl 10 a cooler looking one moe damage

and so on.

It'd be better customizable, levels=new techs would just result in a larger "LEVEL UP GET STRONNNGEEER" mindset.

Maybe it should be learned the same way as spells? Like, you have to be level 4 to use a certain attack, but you used a certain spellbook so you have the attack, but you just can't use it?

I don't like the word tech... tech should only refer to robots

Juron Pilo 01-20-2003 08:19 PM

I'm very aware of that thankyou-_-
I'm just saying I prefer the word skill...
If you think about it instead of trying to start an arguement doesn't that sound clearer than tech?

I got a pretty good idea! But I think I forgot some of it. :(

Like there should be somethings that you can learn techniques by buying something and you have to take training. Then when you complete it and when you use your sword you can do somethings to change the s+back attacks. Like you got like 3 techniques. Backflip stab, Boomerang Sword, EarthShake. Then if you equip it if you hit like a button you can change what technique to use.
