Idea: Scurvy Merchants
 
OMGOMGOMG!! Make merchants in every town who are kinda scurvy, and they sell stuff but they only give hints of what kind of item it is.

Like for a sword.. "This sharp ol' beast could be helpful to ye" and then you can buy or decline whent he menu pops up. Its like a shop but it gives a RANDOM item. Make it so he sells you ANYTHING he has randomly for 100 plat.. or deluxe items for 250 plat :)

Kinda sounds like Wirt from Diablo, where you had to pay him just to see the item, and more often than not, it was just useless.

Yes!
With each purchase of their items you give them a chance to buy some vitamin C to help keep their gums from going spongy and teeth from falling out.
