About submitting a Playerworld
How much do you need do have together before you can have it up for developing and testing on the server, but still be closed to the public?
Before someone like myself attempts creating too complex of a system, do you have any advice for scripting, I mean I know I'd get thrown out if my weather script requires the server to continiously hunt for Very Large prime numbers.... is CPU/memory consumption sandboxed by playerworld to playerworld, or will one bad script slow them all down? |
It takes 200-250 levels minimum and a few quests i belive to pass the pwa reviews... if u pass u get private mode... after u are done fixxing your scripts and stuff you can ask Stefan? To take it out of private to public mode :)
I dont know what you mean by your last question.... Yes a script which is poorly scripted can slow the server and other scripts down. It could even crash the npc server... |
You neeed about 250 levels, and at least two things to do when you enter the overworld, whether they be quests, jobs or some sort of single player event. Of course, this being the bare minimum, it probably won't give you a passing mark but it's a start.

And to be honest, I wouldnt go private unless it was to test for about a week. And dont go UC if you haven't finished levels. Also to be good have about 250 outside levels. then some inside, well about 150+ outside anyway. Also dont go UC unless you have some good scripters, and most of it you can do offline, except a few scripts which will need testing maybe, and editing, but about 10hours work if you know what your doing.
