be able to register as a ..type of character, such as we have all these slay goblin, slay demon, ect ect weapons

human players should be able to be Demons, goblins ect ect or at least..you know, so everyone has a weakness and fighting isnt like Diablo II where this works against everyone who looks like this ect ect. heh :cool:

It adds options to the game and won't require 10000 hours of work like the ideas others sugegsted on this matter.

It'll take a while. Adding new sprites? However, the races are on the to-do list. But HIGHER UP THEN IT SHOULD BE.

Why races? I simply don't udnerstand you people. Can't you just dress like a person of your race and set your title to that race?

Why is it so important that your profile appears that your race is so and so?

Moreover, I think these things should apply to monsters. =_=

Weaknesses and advantages in each race. It would make balancing even better. The key to this game's success is BALANCE. Should I spell the word, define it, use it in a sentence for you?

I believe slay demon,dwarf,angel etc applies to God's...I think angels = either dianceht or brigid worshippers and a weapon which has slay <insert race thingy here> does more damage to people of it

Exactly .. so .. methinks, whether people like it or not, races will be implemented eventually .. because they are already, in a way.

also, the race idea made classic suck.

besides, this isn't going to add balance if the races have special abilities! then there'll be one that fits everyone the best and then we'll have everyone in one race again!!! thats how the gods work! everyone seems to like bile the best!

Actually, the gods are pretty spread out. Ogma seems to be very popular, though. I go to his altar, and there are usually three or four others there.

Anyway, I think adding races to Classic was a nice idea. I like it, and I have fun as a Lunarian. Although, fighting in the Angel Clan is impossible, as I can't use any of the special attacks, and the clearer blade lags like a mofo. :o

Oh, and an edit here .. almost forgot to mention this.

I doubt that races would have special abilities .. and even if they did, I'm sure they would all be balanced .. perhaps elves are a bit luckier, and dwarves can hurt a bit more .. something small like that. I think that those in charge of the game know that balance is crucial.. that's one point everyone's gotten across.

I think the races would be ok if they had no effect on your apearance, and all they did was that special effect of some weapons...

even if the races had special abilities, then even if there was some balance, I got a feeling only 1 or 2 would actualy be used... then again I'm baseing this off of classic's very unbalanced race system =P I play a zorbi, but thats typical of developers... kinda sucks though when I feel like pking.
