allied guild, read stefan, i want your feed back
 

I mentioned this before, but I never got a reply back from stefan, i even sent it to him... here we go...

on the guild cp you should be able to set allied guilds, and in order to allie both leaders must set an allie... then the 2 guilds can't attack each other, and they show up on an allied guild list on the player list, wich sorts name by the guild they're in, so if UDF is allied with UDA (wich we are) it'll show:

GUILD
Holy Dragoon Emperor W-Dragoon (UDF)
ALLIES
Holy Dragoon god Willjet (UDA)
Holy Dragoon Someone else (UDA)
Risk Lunatic (Gangstas)

I don't know much about the guild cp stuff

the guildcp needs to be rewritten to use the database instead of flat-file, then doing allies would be turbo easy.

heres a better idea: completely remove guildcp through websites and program it into graal...kinda like the player list or profile system, or RC and NPC control...a whole new thing for guilds, it would make things easier for one, and i doubt there would be bugs like it being down constantly and other problems

don't forget the account names with apostrophes!

This is a good idea, however, it would eliminate the need for a guild admin.

There'll always be need for somebody to fix it when it breaks, or handle things like "Hi I'm the viceleader of Jedi Knights, our leader hasn't been on in a month, can you transfer the guild to me please?"

We didn't build it into Graal in the first place because there was a lot of oppisition about it. People didn't want to have to open Graal *just* to add or del someone from their guild.

Then you dont get rid of GCP. You have two versions- the built-in version, or the the web original. It'd be tough, and would probably take a while, but its possible. Anythings possible...

i like the idea about the guilds allying because sometimes allied guild leaders dont tell their whole guild who they are allied with and they could kill their allies.

sounds like fun, but people would allie with everybody and what fun would that be?
