.mng
What's with the mng format? I can't open it in any application...
|
.mng is just a variation of .png which allows you to animated the image.
Heh, if you are having trouble with it than just stick with gifs. MNG format is auto fail for any submitted heads/shields/swords anyways, so its kinda inconvienient. |
i know what mng grapgics are, just, the gif2mng program included with the dev tools converts animations into a strange mng format that can only be read by graal...
|
then only import single framed gifs to convert ((it will come out as png))

The PNG and MNG image formats were developed to replace GIF. There is every reason why they -should- replace GIF:
Netscape's PNG support is even worse, or at least it is with the last version of Navigator that I own. Of course, I never update Navigator because it's an inferior browser anyway. Write Microsoft and tell them to add support for PNG's alpha channel capabilities and MNGs!!! [/rant] Whew..... felt good. :D |
actually, there are programs, not microsoft, that do support mngs, thease programs do not support the same mngs you get from gif2mng, i want to use animations, but i cannot vew them in mng format unless i convert them with another program other than gif2mng, I use a program called slow vew as my image vewer, it supports mng files but it reads the ones gif2mng produces as corrupt

And I would appreciate it if you would remove the bonsai kitten from your sig, I consider it a violation of "mutilation or other disturbing images" as found in the forum rules. No offense, that's just not something I want to see or think about. |
Real my post in this section about MNGS there is a URL to a site with loads of MNG Supported progs.
