RC Updates.

RC's must ignore the people, like when you use the right mouse button on the player and active 'ignore'.
btw:that graphic is terrible. |
No no no.
If your on RC your expected to help the players. Yes your there to do work as well but 9/10 something a player asks you to do will take you less than a minute just some people are too lazy to do it. |

You're on your RC etc, then i player is contantly asking to be staff, you're getting crazy with that, why not ignore this player? Some people dont use RC for work, just to talk. anyway,it's just an idea... |
you don't get it, rc is NOT for talking, it IS for working, most people use it for talking, but it IS for working, just ignore the PMs or get off RC
|
Easy.
Put a do-not-disturb notice in your nick, and pay them no heed if they flout it. For y'all who oppose all types of staff neglect of PMs: With the demise of the separate NC, it is impossible to access the NPC server without opening up to PMs. |

I just said if the player is always disturbing you..bah..forget it dude..it's just an idiot idea. I said my idea and it is enough. Quote:

As I said, "pay them no heed if they flout it"
i.e. put up a DND and not even open playerlist. |
i believe this is a decent idea, but wud be abused, :(

i was thinking about it,because I was making a level and uploading on Gaia. Constantly,a player was sending me messages: "Hi,can i be staff?i can make nice levels!" Then I said: "Please,go to http://forums.graal2001.com/forums/s...5&pagenumber=1".. But the player was pming me a lot of times and I was uploading levels, also,my nick was 'DND'. So,the best thing was ignore him.(while I was working) |

that is why i still like the "invisible on player list " idea. ;)
like they said RC is for working, not talking, i agree, i just like one thing on RC, mass pm and no length limit pm. |
jus d/c, then if the person gets back on and persists, then ban, especially since gaia is a private server, its no biggy
|
I think ignore is the best way.
|
While certain runtime staff are to be expected to field PMs - GPs and FAQs for instance - others such as the LAT(/NAT) need to be able to work in peace, without a flashing blue word-bubble indicating a possibly urgent message or warning of a future complaint if the blow off a desperate newbie. Judging by the incident last week I believe even Stefan sees the importance of being able to work uninterrupted.
|
I don't like the ignore idea.
Although the appear invisable option should be added but only for the higher up staff of the server. It should be a right which can be given by anyone with set rights. |

Everyone and their brother started nagging Stefan about classic NES games or something while he was trying to work.
|
Stefan said he might as well make a third GraalKingdoms to work on because everyone on Debug bothers him too much and he gets nothing done. And he is too nice of a guy to tell them off.
|
The point is...
You dont need ignore the server. Sometimes some persons disturb you etc,you dont need ban/disconnet just for that, just ignore. O_o |
if you constantly bug someone they should have the right to ignor you, or how about an option in RC that disables PMs? You know like where the options are to set your nichname? just add another heck box that say "ignore PMs" so you can go to work and not have a lil blue flashy thing going off. x.x
|
as i've said about 10 times before, people may need the staff urgent later on, so if we are going to have ingore, it should unignore them automatically when you log off, that way they can PM you if they need you the next time.

1/10 agreed. 1=me :D |
How about activating the cloak right?
People with the right...development staff...would have a Cloak button to hide themselves from the public eye while the script or whatever. |
