Battle mode needs to be fixed.

Battle mode is ridiculous.

Oh, actually, I've always had problems with the death system on Graal.

This is not a suggestion .. this is a statement. Fix it. I'm not suggesting that you do it .. I'm saying that you NEED TO FIX IT.

First off. Stat loss .. okay, that's not such a big deal, you can go pray for it back .. but not everyone can pray. Oh well. I don't care about that, I think stat loss is fine .. but .. losing two stats at higher levels isn't.

Second. Experience loss. Fine. That's fine, I have no problems with it. LEVEL LOSS. NO. NO, THAT IS NOT RIGHT.

I can understand experience loss. A punishment for dying. But level loss is horrible.

People reach high levels, and then go losing nearly one million experience due to bad luck, throwing them back level-wise to the stone age.

This is what should be done: When losing experience (excluding experience loss in peaceful, I'm only applying this to battle) .. you can not lose experience past your level. If you are level seven overall (64,000 exp), and you have 80,000 and die (I'm not doing math here, I'm just throwing in numbers) .. let's say as of now you might go to 55,000, making you lose a level .. but with this system, you'd go back to 64,000 AND NO LOWER.

People don't get to high levels because they die and lose levels. This is illogical. Make it so you can't lose levels. You will go back to the least amount of experience required for that level at most, but you will not lose a level. Make it that way, and you'll HAVE A LOT OF HAPPY GRAALIANS. A LOT OF THEM. Including myself.

Take out level loss and you get happy players. Happy players equals more players, more players equals more money.

I don't know which of those appeals to you most, but I hope at least one does. So do it for that reason. Fix this.

Oh, and I can't imagine why anyone would disagree with this, so .. yes. You've got the majority vote for this one.. :whatever:

I might agree, but the 'fix this or die!' tone you used is probably counter-productive. I dunno. I think losses need to be removed altogether and replaced with a less punishing system that still makes death undesirable. I have a few ideas, but I don't wanna spend the time typing them out without knowing that anybody will even listen to them.

Yeah, the whole "Fix or Die" comes from the fact that I'm in a bad mood .. I apologize for that.

I'm not saying that this has to be done .. but .. it would be very nice to see this changed ..

Yeah, I agree, level loss is a big pain, and is dumb. This game has big penaltys... stat loss for those who don't have praying, experience loss for those who don't spend alot of time playing to get to levels, Housing constitution, not everyone can spend time on their home.

Alot of stuff is wrong with the game.
Level loss included. Take it out please.

Uhm .. that didn't talk about anything I made a point of.

They only talked about stat loss, and briefly about experience loss. :\

Uh, I think what he's talking about also occurs when you're fighting monsters. And... you can do that in peaceful mode, right?

He just doesn't want to lose levels and tons of EXP/Stats when you die once. Personally, neither do I. I lost tons of experience, and now I don't even want to play because it's a waste of time going back up just to be par with everyone else, only to have yourself knocked down because you happened to get disconnected in a dungeon.

You don't lose stuff in peaceful mode in dungeons,
and outside its not so easy to die, the exploding cauldron was a bug, the explosion is not meant to be so big

I would, but it had gotten to the point where I was hardly getting any experience from kills. That's why I switched .. I thought level eight would be strong enough to make it in battle mode ..

MasterNuke 12-06-2002 06:04 AM

:( You lose 3 stats when your level 12

BoneCrusher2 12-06-2002 08:14 AM

i think uy shouldnt loose level but u should loose the same amount of exp liek say u reach level 13 physical (2 million exp) and then u get 2.1 million in it and u die and u go down to 1.980 million or w/e but u still have ur elvel 13 but u jsut need to get that exp back + more to get ur next level.....

Legondary_MyTH 12-06-2002 08:48 AM

Hmm .. that's not a bad idea, actually .. I just don't know if Stefan would like it .. :(

anUk 12-06-2002 11:12 PM

stop whining, be lucky that when you die you dont reset...

i think the stat loss is necessary, it controls money(for potion of life), power(exp/stats)

i say leave it the way it is.

Paradiesapfel 12-06-2002 11:33 PM

if u dont lose exp tzhat would be too easy
but if u could save ur stats for 1000plat would be nice

for high lvls is it no problem too get plats and when they have to pay for saving thee is no problem i think

I'm not talking about stat loss, I'm totally fine with that. I'm talking about level loss.
