Forum Server Time

Is a bit fast. 7 hours fast, to be more exact. I have it set to GMT-8 (Pacific Standard Time) and it says it's 2:51 AM tomorrow, instead of 7:51 PM tonight.

Could an Admin (Or Super Moderator, if they have that type of access) please fix this? It's just awkward.

It was fixed for a while, but seems to be off by the same 7 hours again. Could an admin please fix this?

Spark910 12-10-2002 06:01 PM

Yes im on GMT and its far too ahead.

CheeToS2 12-10-2002 07:21 PM

I *think* (not positive) it sets the time by whatever the server's time is set to :X.. so someone with root would have to fix it (thats how it was with phpBB anyhow)

It's an old, old problem.

I remember that the system date was always off on the DServer, but none of us changed it while I was there. It played havoc with our organisation, though >.<

I was there too, you know.
I meant the guy in their office who uses the computer the DServer is running on

Ah, yes. Much strife he caused.

Most forum systems (And I'm pretty sure vb is no exception) have an option in their setup that allows you to choose the "base" timezone, and you have a box where you can set the "base" timezone's offset from server time.

I am suggesting changing the base offset. :)

Yes, I definately remember seeing you on DServer. Just not sure wether it was before I quit NW for Graal2001, or before I quit again for Graal2002.
