To Own a Boat?
 

I think that boats should be able to be YOURS only. Here are some suggestions:

- Boats cannot be boarded by people unless you say their account name is allowed: (Ex: /Allow ZeroFXSM Boat ZeroFXSM)
- Boats can be used like houses to store items, they can be similar to reset points.
- IF a boat breaks, all that happens is it cannot move.

but i think u should make it so you have ur own ship but as house u can invite people for a ride ;)

but where is the realisim? maybe you can have it to where it sinks to the bottom of the sea and only you can repair it from there or something >.<

i like ownership..maybe you could make it so that you can lock the doors, and bring the ladders up, so that its locked for both enterance and exit, also..what would be very cool was if you could actually furnish the lower deck...if a boat sinks in shallow water, it should just appear flooded, people could use the water bucket maybe say 50-100 times to unflood it, then rebuild it, by bringing 50 boards and repairing it, that that way your ship with all your valuables dosent get destroyed, it just leaves you out in the open like a sitting duck..maybe even the lower level could flood a bit..and you would have to swim in and out...this would be nice for idiots who sink ships on docks that arent protected...That reminds me, there should be cannons you can make to either add to a ship (4 max) or put on land to defend ports and docks, they should also be able to aim maybe 10-30 degrees sort of like a bow, but with more range, and less turning radius. whew. (hope stefan reads this)
OH! and thieves could be able to pick these if they have a high enough mental level, just like playerhouses. (which reminds me again, once pets are out, you could have say a pet (parrot for pirates) who attacks anyone who enters by breaking in...(you have to feed it and water it every once and a while and it has a health bar that you can access any time)

I like the restricted boarding thing, but how would that affect Naval battles and capturing boats?

Maybe if the boat is under 50% HP anyone can board it?

I would like the idea of peaceful boats, which have no weaponary, and only have to be maintained occasionally.

Make it so it sinks half way and half of the boat is up, you need 30 boards to repair it, only you can repair it. OR you could repair it with iron and it is harder to kill.

i like the idea of little boats that can still get shot down but are just easier to create, i dont like the idea of any boat that cant be shot down, for obvious reasons
