Well i tryed to make a tutorial... maybe not that good but it might help
Grass tutorial: 1. Just use thoose wierd tiles and drag around and i like thoose green blubs so i place them at random 2. Add grass so it dosent look empty, but them pretty tight but leave spaces and diffrent places for other details 3. Now for the other details, flowers so it will have diffrent colors 4. The final "piff up", add some bushes to not make it look empty, put some rocks. But dont use to many flowers it dosent look nice in my opinion :) |

Sand path detail for lazy people:
1. Just use the sand path editor and drag it as you want the road or the dirt hole. 2. Remove some stones, it's to many 3. "piff it up" by adding making some small dirt roads go out from it at random so no one can see you're a lazy person using sand path editor ;) |
Grass Tutorial is odd. You usually make the grass pattern first :D
Sand Tutorial; the three rocks line up, never make them line up unless they are < 5 tiles away. |
thats not how rocks work in real life....... lol
|
they aren't rocks ;-)
They are blocks. remember how they were bordering the parthway for towns etc? |

Because up there you talked about sand.. and said how the three rocks lined up. But then preceded to say they aren't rocks, they're blocks after stating they were rocks X.x. I think you were talking about the grass block tiles that are commonly used for borders on pathways, but you weren't too clear. And yes, most people do the grass first, then fill in with other detail. |
I'm talking about the grass blocks. Not the sand rocks. :D
