GMAP help

Well Stefan gave Renegade permission to use GMAP 3d, but I'm having some problems... How do I get NPCs to work ON the overworld? Thanks in advance.

I tried to make an overworld with 3d terrain once... Its pretty but thats really all its got.. Besides, I like the 2d feel. Reminds me of the old Squaresoft games and Sieken Densetsu.. ahhh... <3
