just stop it

In less than 3 days, I've went from 300k down to 199k.

I'm tired of getting killed when I get disconnected. Why must you have the few seconds stay after before your character disappears? Just take the damn feature out.

LordZen 10-16-2002 11:05 PM

yes i agree, its very unfair for dialup users who can get disconnected without a moment's notice. =(

makes it less fun you know, losing exp unfairly, that and you lose to much!! I say you shouldnt be allowed to lose a level from dying =(

What would you lose then?

AlexH 10-17-2002 08:42 AM

How about losing experiance but you can only go down to the amount you needed to get to that level.

For example you need 2000exp to get to level 2.
So you have 2600exp and you die a few times.
Say with the current sysytem you would drop to 1200exp but with the new system you would only drop to 2000.
And that's Alex idea.

So say you have 2000 exp, then you die again, then again, then again, and you still would have 2000 exp?

"Uh-oh, I'm being killed. Time to disconnect the modem!"

Same thing happens in every MMORPG.

Maybe that does happen sometimes .. but most of the time, that's not the case. Even if someone does want to disconnect to stay alive, if they close Graal properly they leave the game like they should, and they're not left standing there.

So actually .. there goes your point, I suppose. :\

Unfortunately, not in the case of accidental disconnect. I hate the way it is now but I can't see any other way of doing it.

I'm smart enough not to close graal when I'm standing right in front of something that may kill me so there goes your point as well, I think :-\.

Then a feature should be added where leaving the game abruptly leaves your character ingame too. omgwtf ther gos ur point.

Eeeyah .. when you've got to talk like that, I'm just going to stop posting on this thread, now. I mean sure, it's amusing sometimes when people .. communicate .. like that sometimes, but when you're actually serious (which I hope you're not), it's rather .. pathetic, methinks.

I can see it now, in class at school for example .. your hand is raised, and the teacher calls on someone whose hand is not. You burst out: "OMGWTF U NUB MY HAND WAS UP **** Y U CALL ON HIM FUX0R". Ohh yeah, that's .. interesting.

It was actually a way of insulting your intelligence. Behold: Mockery by unfavourable mimicry. The words are all pretty simple but let me know if you have any problems with them.

zell12 10-18-2002 02:13 AM

Mabey use Ibonic's idea, or if it wasn't his, sorry for my forgetfulness. You get your 2k exp, and your level 2. You then get 0 exp, and get to 4k, and so on... everytim you level up is like the "save point" for exp so you cannot lose exp beyond that point.

That's ****ing it, I spent hours playing GK today. Got up to 290k+ (from 200k) and then I get stuck on the stupid floor. Skeletons surround me and kill me, not once, but twice. Now I'm down to 188k. How is this fair?

Kaimetsu 10-23-2002 10:32 AM

Dude, you gotta get a better connection or something.

For once, it wasn't the connection this time. I was running around and I swear I just stopped in the middle of the floor. I know it wasn't my connection, because I could cast and unstick me (which wouldn't work b/c of 30 second rule).

TerrorBite 10-24-2002 02:41 PM

why are you killing skeletons anyways, I just go running around splattering dievil's and smokey's ... identify parts, sell parts, buys spell, fail or lean, and repeat the process :p... getting exp along the way ^.^

I wanted to level back up. I get approx. 1550 each round through that room.
