I thought I'd submit a few images to (hopefully) be used in the quick menu. These are icons for the skills Alchemy, Find Traps, and Melee Weapons. There is already a skill icon for Alchemy, but not one for the spell. I think the existing icon could be changed to mud_spell_alchemy.png and use the one I made for the skill instead...

Just an idea. ;)

hehe those are cool. yes Stefan has requested my team to make some images for that menu, so we are working on getting some of that done...how long did it take you to make those and what program?

Short answer: 5-10 minutes each, did them in MS Paint. :)

Did them with MS Paint (yay Paint!!!), used another program (IPhoto Plus 4) to convert them to 8-bit png, used Alchemy Mindworks PNG/MNG Construction Set Professional (shareware version) to undo the damage caused by IPP4 (which has really crappy PNG support).

I'd be happy to help y'all with any gfx work you want done... in my spare time, of course.

yah ms paint is my favorite program lol, simple and all you need for pixel work. i think i sent you an email or forum pm or something reply please.

The people who make gfx on a regular basis (or team of people) should be rewarded with in game stuff like platinum coin or weapons, not tags and rcs however.

Wrong. That is just dumb.

I dunno I mean I did pretty much everything on Pirate Island and made the pirate hook ganis and some new bow ganis (yeah yeah not very speical about those)

But then again that is kinda stupid

But I don't really expect anything for doing the gfx, I did them just because I love 2k2.

Although 1000 or so plat would be nice..... :D :D :D

that and many people on the team dont even play graal2002. Remember its not a g2k2 team, its global administration.

They shouldn't get anything.
Stefan didn't force them into making them and if they didn't was going to beat them down with a big stick.
They volunteered.

And nobody will want to do any graohics or work and than they will have to hire special teams to script and make graphics and that's 2k1 bad.

Oh well right now there isn't even a problem of that happening so....

We shouldnt even really be discussing the issue about GA getting rewarded for their work. My team gets a tag and some recognition, thats about all they can expect. If they were on the team because they were seeking rewards on a specific server or something then they wouldnt still be with me.

Make a stealing icon, (stefan, make stealing =P)

Personnally I would rather have people who do work for 2k2 (including gfx people) be given things other than tags and powers. Wouldn't you?

i think some dude gets payed to make most the gfx on g2k2, or somebody was payed to make the 3d terrain...dunno Im not to clear on all that...but I am sure that graal actually "hired" some guy to make stuff.

I know that, and what I mean is:

Either: Simply have people submit graphics on a volunteer basis.
Or : Hire player staff like you but find alternative rewards.

And not just give people like yourself a position with which to upload graphics on your own etc.

You understand now?

(I simply hate player Staff, they have failed countless times before)
