/drop amount itemname to accountname

Wouldn't this make trading "safer"? Only the person who's on that account can pick up the item(s) for maybe 15 seconds or so and then it would be normal.

Even safer "/trade accountname" if you are close enough to that person with the account specified then it will open a trade window, but if you are too far away/they aren't online it will say "you need to get closer to the player" or something like that.

But that's more coding that Stefan would have to do, I think that adding to accountname on the /drop command would be a lot quicker if he's busy. (Correct me if I'm wrong, Stefan :confused: )

A trade window would be nice though.

Barely. Might even be easier to make a new /trade command than edit the /drop command, although the trade window could be complicated. In any case, I'm sure they're already planning to add dedicated trading features before 2K2 leaves beta.

Why would coding a whole new command and adding a window etc. be quicker/easier? The way that I code, it would definitely be easier to edit code, but then again, I don't code the same way that he does.

Either way, it's something that should be simple at this point.

Your way, he'd need to add functionality to count the tokens etc and decide whether the item is to be dropped or transferred. With a whole new command this could be sidestepped.
