RC FileBrowser
 

When you are uploading or deleting a file it is reloading the whole file list. The classic folder managment combined with my slow PC make me wait 5 minutes until the file list is downloaded and displayed.
It would be nice if

• loading the file list would be more memory-efficent and faster
• it wouldn't reload the list after uploading/deleting.

Edit: It would also help if I'd have the RC chat commands "/uploadfile <local path/filename> <path/filename on the server>" and "/downloadfile" (same parameters, swapped order).

If you having problems you wont like this idea of mine:

Some sort of level editor build into RC! 0_0

He doesn't want to update the level he wants to upload it.
I suppose it would be usefull but I would rather things like /update world_a-*.nw which would update world_a-1, world_a-2, world_a-3 etc.
Would be usefull for updating quests.

Okay, here's the thing -
it takes a really long time to take the list, send it, recieve it, unpack it, etc -
WHY?
It's a string!
It only changes when someone does something in RC (since FTP's gone now)!

Keep a string that reflects the directory structure. When someone changes it, save the changes. There's no good reason it should be taking five minutes to recieve a listing of like 6000 lines...any given Game FAQ's longer than THAT!

Yes, less lag on the file browser would be nice, also, maybe make it so that it doesnt have to put an extra copy of the file on your computer in the temp folder?

Anyways, RCFM is rather slow. I think it should be changed to FTP style. Have a HD browser and a playerworld files browser. I would like that a lot better
