Flags!
 

I think that we should be able to make customized flags with players' nicknames etc. that we can put down when we "find new places", it might make "exploring" more fun. What do you think?

I like it, you could also make more customized, by putting designs and colors.

You would have to go to a flag-maker place, and could either buy set flags, or make your own. it would have varied prices

And you that would just pay for the design you could use. You'd have to buy flags to put down at like 1 plat a flag

Or you could make it so there are only plant flags in certain spots. And when new levels come out the first person to find them can plant a flag.

I see, the blocking of doors/porals does not bother you?

You could walk through the flags.

general lag caused by overuse of flags, too much work for little profit, inability to do all that design stuff, or if possible the fact that all this flag information would have to be saved on the server side? I can think of more....

Nevermind though, I suppose it was a dumb idea.

Well everything that brings fun to the game is good, and it seems that people dont abuse new features anymore now that there is more stuff to do (e.g. nobody has flooded the server with the free candles)

Flags would be a good idea, only they NEED to be able to have walk-through abilities, and if the player logs off, then they go down... or somthing.

Sounds like the idea I had and made for kingdom building... you use flags to claim/purchase land, and on that land you can do whatever you want; as long as it's fully yours.

Crests!
 

Omg! customizable family crests! it could be your class, your weapon, then you could have different images that are premade that represent your character, it would all be different parts of an npc i guess, like the images go like a puzzle...i duno. lol.

How would these crests get there anyway?

/edit: bit hard to make out the text but it shows I posted in all of the 2k2 forums last.

you might be able to put a name on the flag but I don't see the server saving a small icon that would be the design you put on the flag or this crest idea you have=P
