Spell Point Bug (?)
I think that this (see image) is a bug. Sorry if other people have noticed and reported it before.
If you start as a Barbarian you have a bit more mana then the other players would because you don't know literacy (bug Stefan said before) and you don't know magic and it would be hard to obtain without literacy and wizardry AND a wand so that's their little advantage in the magic category, just starting with a bit more mana (atleast I think so...I never really thought it was a bug and it doesn't hurt because once you use a spell to use up the mana it fills up and just goes to your max mana which is 6 for you)
It happens because you first roll for your begining stats, and then the class changes happen... so if you start with 7 max MP, and then after the class changes you have 6, you'll be left with 7/6
There are items (mana crystals) that can give you more than your max MP, too. It's supposed to happen. |
You can have 2xmax spellpoints (dont know why its called max spellpoints not halfmax spellpoints :) ). It's the same with grace, but grace can also go below 0 which means your god dont like you / will not grant spells often
Erm, I tried to /restart, and while rolling for stats, it doesn't show the numbers, just the red bars.
Stefan removed the numbers
