If forum account sharing is illegal, is game account sharing illegal also? I mean are we suppose to say something to people? :confused:

Who knows ::shrug:: they can't really PROVE the account sharing on game as much so they barely enforce that. These people need to be smacked, it's no longer theirs when you frickin buy a product, I doubt it would hold up in court but meh ::shrug::

you can't really PROVE people sharing an account on the forums either if the second person doesn't put their name.

I realize some of you might think it is a dumb question, that's normal, but I really need to know if we are suppose to ban for ir or whatever..........err, nevermind, this was a bad idea, I will just forum pm unixmad =/

go for it. Ban them, I mean. It's obvious that they are not PAYING for the accounts, and avoiding the pay rule by sharing. That's not something unixmad wants.

It's not something he will have an easy time controlling, either.

What's the big deal if two friends pool thier money and get an account and share it? If they didn't than niether of them could afford one and that's 30$ less for unix

Maybe unixmad should make another account type, a shared account, where 2 or more people can use it on one server but it should cost zehr grosse mark lol

Instead of posting it'd of been nice to contact a proper administrator to make such a decision because it's not accurate for the community to answer, even tho it may be correct, it still is not the way it should be approached...

My opinion and decision on that will remain off here until I speak with Unixmad...Until then, account sharing on game has no laws against it and people shouldn't been banned because you cannot ban paying customers for lending accounts....All that does is lessen the amount of graal players...

As I have stated, it'd be best if this was best kept off the forums and properly sent to a graal administrator..such as myself or Ibonic

Well, isnt that nice, I get reprimanded for asking about something that was posted by unixmad already, trying to clarify the meaning of something that was POSTED already. Well, guess you all will have to stay in the dark then till unixmad (gets the time) to reply.

IPs are logged on each post.

In-game is different though, that only shows the last IP.
My fourm account will have 3 IPs it regurly posts from, my computer, my little brothers computer (my modem died *cry*) and the school computers.

How can Stefan or Unix know if my friend is using this account
even if its diffrents IP's, I WAS AT HIS PLACE AND POSTED!

ERrr me and my friend bought this account together. He paid for half and I paid for half so we each OWN this account. So your saying since we both paid for it, it's illegal for one of us to post or play on it?

WEll kaimetsu, boo hoo. My friend quit graal last night because of this crap, so it looks like you don't get the pleasure of banning this account after all. Check the IP logs if you wish, only one IP has logged onto this forums account the entire time i've been here.

Why are the only people getting pissed off about account sharing being ilegal, are the the people who cant be bothered to pay, so they borrow a friends account?

BTW. if they paid for the account half and half, then it shouldnt be ilegal if they both use it... Although if you by a bus ticket and you friend pays for half, then only one of you will get to ride.

What, you don't think they could afford a few dollars more? If they can buy half an account then they can buy a full account, it's not expensive.

True, so very true... But I live in Britain and the PPP is slightly higher than America's due to the falling worth of the pound, but that was nearly an entire fiscal year ago and so the Americans may have a higher PPP now, so it would be cheaper for them.
