here are some updates to our fishing system, made by Chibi...

You fish with poles *****. You catch bugs with nets


the net gfx sucks =(

You can fish with both, nothing wrong with that. The net graphic ain't bad.

why the hell do you have to be a *****, the bait is what catches the fish, i dont thing i posted the poles, and you catch the fish with the net *******...

well, basically we have gotten things done in 2 weeks that take some servers 2 months via screenie. We have the chat system and the Character Selection basically done, if you want to know more of what we are working on and more examples, sign up at our forums in my signature. Once we get the tileset and bodies done (NyghtGT's computer got a virus) it will go really fast

You fish with a fishing rod then, if the fish is big you get it with the net while still on the line. So you're both wrong.
But the idea of catching it with the net is still good.

And the graphics definatly do not suck.

Thats how you would kinda make a net "back-then" if thats the style they are going with. So really, its quite good.

I'm glad you all like the graphics, but you weren't suppose to see them yet. The net isn't for catching regular fish, it's for catching bait fish, such as minnows.

Oh yeah, by the way, TerrorBite created these, some may know him as Chibi TerrorBite ^.^

Thanx for covering for me, Screeny, while I was waiting for my forum account. Anyways, we only mean to upload screen shots, he didn't upload the bamboo rod I made, nor the first fish and two other bait. I'll upload a screenshot shortly after I make this post with them on it.

Anyways, I wanted to post my newest ss, a bowl LOL. This may seem like 3 different images, however, I have used gani's and multiple sprites to make it so people can choose what they want to make, such as soup wiht chives, or salad with tomatoes, and no cucumbers. Let me know whatCHA think. Oh and the thing isn't scripted yet, so I just threw some sprites together, and this is the start of the food gfx. ^.^

Oh and Mykel, don't worry, I'm not mad that you posted my images, I needed some more feed back anyways!

Hmm looks pretty good. Only thing which takes away from the demension of the image is that outline...it would greatly improve if you only used parts of the outline, but if you don't want much dimension then its good.

hmmm I think I'll try to work out that outline then, it did look 2d-ish to me thanx. Oh and sharks, hmmm I planned on making deep sea fishing possible, like marlins and such so there might be shark fishing, just depends on how things go.

THe pole part of the graphic is nice.
However the net part could use a bit of work.

On the shark part, maybe you can add a very nice feature that allows GREAT WHITE SHARKs to attack small boats so you will need a big boat to travel the deep blue sea :D

The net gfx are good,but make them a lil more with a circle look.
