although i normally send you things in a PM, stefan, i'm taking it to a thread. just download the file. i made it a long time ago, which is why you can hear acoustics in the background. i'm sure you can find someone to remove them if it's a problem. it can be good to use if a sword hits another sword, a hard stone or metal wall/object, etc. i'm not sure why i added so many echoes to it, but maybe it's for the better.

kinda sounds like scraping a sword blade on the floor of a large cave... a small sword...

It might work better as a "draw sword" sound, it almost sounds like metal rasping against a scabbard...

Did you not learn anything from your past Graal experiences? You're just coming back to be hated again, with that kind of attitude. I simply don't think the sound fits a sword noise. It has background noise, it's loud and it doesn't make sense.

what kind of attitude? i was stating it because your oasis thing is cartoony. i already said the acoustics suck. what's your problem?

i don't think it's futuristic, personally, but the echoes and reverbs leave me disgusted...might be why i never submitted it before.

What was it in real life? It sounds like some kind of jar of rice or something.

not sure. i think i used my voice to create it, and then used acid wav or something to manually edit it and enhance the slash/scrape noise to be more realistic. the original version didn't have the reverbs and echoes, but then i was screwing with sound recorder or something and saved over the original copy.

i said screw it and just kept it that way. obviously :)

psst. what is this exp bar for below my name? it appears i went from 98% to 15% in a matter of one or two posts. makes no sense to me.

It's some weird hack that Unixmad installed. The stats don't do anything, they're just for show. You get experience from making posts.
