Special Hidden Classes
Special classes, obviously a bit more advanced, or at least so specialized taht it takes an expert to properly use. When you are on the select class list you don't see any hidden classes unless you've unlocked them. To unlock a class you'd need to find a book about that class, In the book it lists a bunch of itmes (some common some rare) you have to retrieve. Once you ahve all the items you do a quest (not neccassarily a special quest just one of the existing ones over again.

Like for Warrior... We'll have The General The Warrior For Barbarian... We'll have The Viking The Barbarian For Thief... We'll have The Thief The Ninja For Alchemist... We'll have The Alchemist The Herbist For Mage... We'll have The Mancer The Magician and stuff like that O_o... Therefore people can select their own class of what their kingdoms needs/wants. |
Err no, we don't need sub classes. You can just pcik the class that msot resembles your position in the kingdom and use that. Like it's obvious a general could simply be a warrior and have a general tag no?
(btw ninjas aren't reall like thieves) |
Ninjas are kinda liek thieves, by the way i like your idea :D

They are nothign like it. Taking it from a person who knows alot about oriental japan. The original ninjas were samurai who refused to commit sekupu after a duel. They had to escape to the mountains. There, where there are no stores no civilization they formed the art of ninjutsu. The word basicly is something to the extent of preserving mind and body to overcome hardships or somethign very clsoe to that. It was a very extreme martial art. Later, the art of ninjitsu was invented, which was about stealth. Ever see a real ninjitsu manual? It takes about taking out taking out sentries and the modern ones show how to get out of a situation where police are trying to handcuff you or how to clean up messes after you shoot someone. Basicly ninjas are exactly like assassins except for the area they were in and the art they studied. Sorry for the lesson here.
(My sources: reading The Book Of Five Rings, Secrets Of Fuedal Japan, My Way Of Life by Gichin Funakoshi, biograpghy of Hanzo Harrotari. watching the foremost ninjutsu (I doubt "ninjitsu" is still taught properly) expert in the world on television. speaking with someone really into this stuff. so you can't say you knwo more than me hehe) |

After doing such dishonour (refusing to commit suicide after a duel, or being related to someone who didn't, or having a master who didn't) it was no problem using dishonourable arts such as stealth or such dishonourable thinsga s killing for money. Sorry for the lesson here.

Bleh, forget subclasses. I want class evolution. Eventually, when they reach a certain level, they would "evolve" their class into something more advanced. This would give them access to new skills, however, they would have to do a quest to search for a master of that class. This would also raise some of their primary statistics, such as strength.
Warriors can evolve into Fighters, Ninjas, or Samurai Barbarians can evolve into Fighters or Berserkers Thieves can evolve into Ninjas, Treasure Hunters (Thieves more concentrated at finding/setting/removing traps in dungeon), or master thieves. Sorcerers can evolve into Black Mages, Red Mages, or White Mages Priests can evolve into White Mages, Summoners, or Time Mages. This is just random things I put together... Obviously this wouldn't be implemented, but it's fun to make up stuff. :D |

Or better yet we could just release more classes.
|
We have enough classes. I want class evolution!
That way we have to work for more advanced classes. I don't want newbies being ninjas. |
Well you have a point overwise we would see people who are ninjas and necromancers and merchants pming "can any of j00 n00bs tell me where I can find money?" Only probelm with class evolution is what if the character in question is high level but doesn't want to be what the next stage is. There would need to be a way to stop evolution.
But you could have it this way, more classes, but if you want to be anythign other than the basic ones we have now when you start you have to pm a staff member with some rp background on your character and if it's decent you can get it. |

Besides, there wouldn't be any disadvantages to evolving, really... You would just gain some stats, maybe a skill or ability to use somethings. Not a huge difference is there? There's always a class that you can evolve to that remains the same as the original class, except more powerful. Warrior-> Fighter Barbarian-> Berserker Sorcerer->Red Mage Priest->Summoner Thief->Master Thief |
Even though I must admit that class advancement may be fun...
Some of the suggestions remind me so much of R.A.G.N.A.R.O.K and it's very disturbing. I'm getting flashing backs of "You thaI?", "KUY", "555"...etc. Stop it. :o |

how about: Warrior->Knight Barbarian->Hunter Sorcerer->Wizard Priest->Acolyte Thief->Assassin |
This does remind me of ******ok,
but anyways! ((doesnt count as discussion of other MMORPGS)) your ideas are great, maybe you would have to be like level 10 to change to the next level of class. I REALLY THINK WARRIORS DESERVE MORE PRIVLAGES |
Quote:
Warriors could have 3-10 different ways to go... Barbarians... blah not all Barbarians Hunt stuff... Sorcerer... maybe like 2-5 different ways to go... like Wizard, Summoner, Enchanter, Illusionist, etc. Priest to Acolytes? u know... theres more than one way to serve a god than just worshipping and praying to him... |
This sounds too much like R/A peoples!
|

Sorcerer->Wizard on Sage Priest->Acolyte or Monk Thief->Assassin or Rogue btw it "rogue" not "rouge". "Rouge" is like "Moulin Rouge" the movie. |
Lol you guys are funny. He wasn't posting a class list for 2k2:
Warrior->Knight Barbarian->Hunter Sorcerer->Wizard Priest->Acolyte Thief->Assassin They are 2nd job classes from RO, he just posted it because I was freaking out about some ideas resemblances to that terrible game. ;) |
