Movement Bug
I've been having a problem with a persistent bug where my character suddenly won't stop moving in the direction I am facing. This usually seems to happen when I press more than one arrow key at once, but happens at other times as well.
I do have joystick support disabled, the problem occurs anyway. The only solution is to close Graal and restart my PC. This has been a problem for me with all versions of Graal, at least since 1.41 when I began playing and is still an annoyance on 2002. Is there something I am doing wrong, or could the bug be fixed? |
this is not a bug it comes when you have a low internet connection and/or get lag.

Low internet connection? The hell? If THAT was true, I'd never stop running if I connected to a server... Check if you have Sticky Keys enabled... Might be the case... At least, I think that's what they're called. Haven't tried to screw up my computer lately so... yeah ^^; |
that happens to me sometimes as well =/

this use to be a big problem it was in one of the bugfix .txt things something about disabling one of the things in your option menu look back to after 1.4ish |
hmmm..... no, no, and.... checking..... nope
It's not lag, it happens on offline levels too.
The "thing" in the options menu is joystick support, I already said I have that turned off. I don't have StickyKeys on either. Graal.exe is the only program I've ever had do this, so it's not a problem with my keyboard or drivers, and it's happened on more than one PC anyway. |

are you using an optical mouse? |
Nope, standard mouse, all standard hardware. Have the same problem on USB keyboard and on PS/2 keyboard, or whatever the old kind is called.
|
This used to happen to me.
Cause: Holding a directional key during exceptional Level Loading Lag Solution: Release and hit that key again. The system recieves "right - pressed", but is too busy to get the "right - released" message. If you send another "right - pressed, right - released" message to your computer (by way of hitting that key again), it says Oh, okay, so that key is no longer down. Basically. |
