Providence RolePlay information.
 

Hi all. Just giving you a bit of information as to how the RP is being sorted on Providence.

RolePlaying is more encouraged than enforced. We have not yet thoroughly tried to encourage people to start just yet, because we're waiting for Tyne to finish the new system, amongst other things.

We have simple rules involving RP. Rules are there for a reason, so, for those of you who do come to Providence; please, don't break them. They're simple, and they DO make sense, if you understand RolePlay. Basically, we want to ensure that people can RP in an environment that isn't filled with idiots going around with names such as TrueHeaT the SpACE COYBOYâ€*â€*☼1ù5☼{bf of malak!!!!lov u}. It's just annoying. So, if you've got a name that we find doens't fit in with the RP theme, then you'll find yourself in our newely made RPjail, that prevents you from unsticking or talking at all, and thus you're forced to reopen Graal in order to change your nick. Annoying, yes, but I'd say it's a pretty good punishment.

You can expect to find many great large or small scale RP events after things get back in order. There is already one planned and in the process of getting ready for when the system is in and everything's working again. I won't give you any info about it yet, though, or it won't be a surprise. :D

What we're trying to achieve at Providence is a playerworld that people can connect to and not be FORCED to RP, but moreso encouraged in a way that still allows those who want nothing more than to solely RP enjoy themselves. With this in mind, people who want to just level up shitloads and kill monsters and get money and all that fun stuff are still welcome, but we can't promise they'll get along much with the hardcore RPers, unless they do try and join in from time to time. But, as I said, there's no reason for you NOT to.

In fact, our number one goal is to be able to give you all an environment that allows you to play the game with some great RP involved, but even with the help of people who haven't the first CLUE what RP is, and dont' even want to. Basically, so long as your name isn't something stupid, and so long as you don't break loads of other RP rules (explained below), then you're fine. After all, we need plenty of players to fill up our towns and Kingdoms. With this in mind, we need plenty of great RPers to come forth and become Kings. Hint hint.

Well, I think that's the majority of what I wanted to say. Below, now, you'll find some other basic and/or major RP rules:

1) Playerkilling (PK) is NOT allowed in any town, kingdom, or this type of district. It will be considered an In-Character act of RolePlaying, and the person (ONLY if caught), will be sent to the local jail. If the matter is to be pursued further, the current leader of the vicinity will send the guilty party to a trial. They will either be sent to jail permanently, or executed (reset). Playerkilling OUTSIDE, in large forests, or neutral zones, isn't exactly legal, but cannot be stopped. If you are PKed in a neutral or unprotected zone, then do not expect anyone to help you. It then becomes your personal responsibility to track down your attacker for revenge, if needbe (which makes things fun!).

2) There are many different ways to RP, and many different ways NOT to RP. I will make a nice RP guide for everyone to read soon, but until then.. just think. THINK. Please? Ask people about RP. Ask them how it works, what you should and shouldn't do, etc. If I'm on, ask me. It's not that hard.

3) Umm.. trueheatb is a faigot llROFL

Okay, that's all for now I guess. As far as updates go, expect the system quite soon. Like, within the next week. For now, just try to have fun RPing with the current piece of crap system and baddies. Trust me, it's worth the wait.

As far as some fun things to do: ships work better. They have damage and sink if hit many times by cannons, which are fired from other ships. My future Kingdom, Zadoria (to be renamed Rhynia), has cannons near the docks that you can fire, too. FUN!

yes! 20 extra cool points for the boats! And the staff there is actually helpful and nice.

Klonoa: only good staff on prov is mido. thats my opinion, but I beleive its true. mad is just a stuckup level jockey and didnt deserve his position. Manager should have been given to Jeff or Mido.:grrr:

A. Mido is a 12 year old with very poor leadership skills. He's a hard worker but there is only so much he can do with his math skills. Yes great person for Co-Manager hey every one its ok to hack and use trainers. I dont even ban you for trainers its why I got fired. I could go on and on with this point but that will suffice.

Jeff is almost as inactive as Kamuii was. Also gives up easily when something doesnt work right. So yes lets have an inactive Co-manager and manager there is a great idea you idiot.

C. Level Jockey. I like that. First off Lets get yoru facts straight.

A. I never asked for nor wanted to be Co-Manager of Providence
B. I didnt want to be Manager of Providence which is why I turned it down.
C. I am the only reason Providence still exists. I couldnt have done it with out hard working staff. Mostly due to Mido in the early stages where the scripting came in. The first words out of kamuii's mouth when I became co-manager was lets shut Providence down. I pleaded with him to keep it up. Then worked on making sure people where doing there jobs which is why a lot of people got fired. I never asked for nor wanted any of it. I only wanted to make levels but if I didnt it was being shut down so dont give me your sad little puke stories when you know nothing. It's little ingrates like you that I quit Graal. People cussing you out insulting you bad mouthing your hard work. I have better things to do than waste my time like fools like you who cant hack it any other way than bad mouthing others. So yes lets wind the clock back up and never make me Co-Manager lets take off all that stress I built up trying to run that damn place even though every day lel ur survur suxorz har har har I hax j00 now and shut j000 down. I was the only thing standing between the server and it being shut down. Its prospering now it doesnt need me to keep it alive I dont have to put up with pathetic antics like yours insulting me bad mouthing me. Attacking me for no reasons at all. Klonoa: ingrate? your one to talk you stuck up pig. kamuii was barely online, and I didn't see him do crap. OH WOW, YOU GUYS GOT THE OLD PROVIDENCE LEVELS BACK AND MADE THEM SOMEWHAT BETTER. Just shows he couldn't create the a new better providence. Mido did so much work and it kept getting wasted cause of all these "restarts!"
