newb question help

ummm i needa help
with this script

if (playertouchsme) {
take sword;
take shield;
say2 works;
}

doesnt work
but it does say works :(

Yip, I see yer problem. For the NPC to work, there must be both a shield and a sword on the ground nearby the NPC.
