More Foods

I think there should be more food...
New Food:
Fish -u kill shller bomy for them or catch it in the ocean while your on a boat. You can cook it by putting it in oven and heals 200 hunger.

Berrys-You can get them by using kungfu and hitting trees and some will drop if you're lucky and some will be poisonus .Heals 50 hunger.

Earth Worms-u dig them up with shovel and each heals 20 hunger points and it could make u sick.

Bigger watering can-uhhh make a big water can that weights 2 time as much and you get 2 water each time you fill it up in ocean and 4 water when you do it in wells. It requires a diamond and some iron to make it

and you should make like a little stand in islands that trades you food for some of your items

I can't say I agree with any of that.. for one, I don't think earth worms would give you 20 stamina, and also most of the stuff you listed could make you sick? I think I would rather stick to water lol.

Bomies already drop meat, trees don't have berries in them either. I think you're just trying to make it easier to gain stamina. :p We don't need a bigger watering can either.

However, fishing would be nice, but I would like to see a new system for fishing instead of just casting and reeling.. like you can lure fish to your bait by wiggling the rod around, or you could jerk the line really fast when you get a bite and it might break the line or pull the fish to you faster, etc.

I think maybe there could be some sort of food you could dig up.. potato perhaps? What about different types of crops to farm? We definitely need some more types of produce other than corn. :)

There are tons of different vegetables and fruits that can be grown. All that is needed basically is graphics, and then just incorporate the corn growing system into the new plant.

Also I would just like to mention, that ideas like this topic are what kind of made 2k1 lose quality. People wanted cheaper items, more money for their work, etc. Basically they just wanted everything easy instead of actually having to work for what you have.

Making suggestions like "make berries that give you 50 stamina" or "make bomies drop fish that you can cook for ungodly amounts of stamina" are just going to eventually ruin the server if they are taken seriously.

ungodly amount of hunger points?it's only 200 points.there're already monsters that drop food that heals that mcuh and the berrys wouldn't be easy to get and you have to take a chance of getting poisoned everytime you ate one

I think it is fine, just have baddies drop food alot more often. I mean if you just use the food you get hunting right now there is no way to keep ahead of the food meter. And I would imagine patatoes and mushrooms and other food like creatures to drop food at least 50 percent of the time not 2 percent.

I think the whole point of the monsters not dropping food often, and you having to get water and farm and stuff, is so that it takes TIME to restore stamina.

When you eat a meal do you finish it in less than a second and you're full? No. Eating takes time, so I don't see any problem with spending 5 minutes out of 45 minutes, eating.

i spent about hour or so make 25 breads :)

its worth it though

Well this is a GAME, where I don't want to spend TIME eating. Do we spend time SLEEPING in it?

Just lower the speed that hunger goes down and I'll be happy. I already heard they are coming out with some new food soon anuways.

BlKnight 08-08-2002 08:16 AM

And if you are so concerned with being realistic why is it you think food based enemies should not often leave behind food (isn't it logical)?

Yes, there are a TON more foods, when kingdoms are up you will see everything. I've seen tons and here is just a bit of what there is.
Fried Bird
Popcorn
Cake
Chocolate
and tons more things that probably Chefs/Cooks in the kingdoms will be able to make.
:)

There are spells or amulets or something that decrease your stamina loss rate.

Um for one, I don't think it needs to be realistic in certain aspects.. but for eating, sure it can be more realistic. Maybe you kill the enemy so badly that it doesn't have much that you can eat or something.

What I'm trying to say is that what is the point of stamina AT ALL, if you're just going to never have to worry about it? Kind of takes the strategy out of it when you can get a ton of food and never have to worry about running low on stamina. I mean everyone is going through the same thing you are, it isn't like you're at a disadvantage.

It's what makes food have a purpose. If beds and food just healed you and stamina existed, it would be like 2k1 where food has no value. Although I think beds should raise your stamina... from what I can see, they don't.

You spend time working so that you can get weapons and stuff. You spend time killing monster so you can gain exp. Why can't you spend time obtaining food to raise your stamina? Plus it adds the wonderful RP element of being able to trap people in a room and starve them to death (that is, if unstick me is disabled in kingdom areas or something)

BlKnight 08-08-2002 08:41 PM

But as it is now food is the only thing to be concerned with. You go to talk for half and hour and afterwards you have to quicklyu rush to make food. If the meter gave you around 1 hour to 2 hours time it would be fine.
