Platinum Coins

I think there should either be an easier way to make money or cheaper things. Like spells are like 2000 or something like that. Its hard to get money because to get them you have to sell stuff. and most things sell for really cheap. Like a diamond sword it sells for like 4 platinum.

It's the price of the shop items, they are totally whack.. they are nowhere near what they should be, and unixmad/stefan are the only people that can fix it since it's built into the mudlib which only they can access.

Lord-Andrew 08-07-2002 04:01 AM

yea. Right now I have only like 12 and Im a sorc. Im supposed to buy spells and stuff. 12< 20121023

Gladly that will change soon. I was talking to Unixmad last night/early morning and he said that they are working on a way to incorperate mudlib functions into RC.

Lord-Andrew 08-07-2002 04:32 AM

Great. Im not sure what incorperate mudlib means but it sounds good so ok.

Er1c 08-07-2002 04:33 AM

It'll let regular staff change things instead of only unixmad and Stefan being able to.

I would imagine you could find out the actual pricing for most of the items by buying them and then right clicking on them in your inventory. :)

If that needs to be done anyway. Things shouldn't be dirt cheap of course, or it would be silly. I'm all for paying a couple hundred plat for a new skill... but I'm never going to play like 4 plat for a bottle of water :p

Er1c 08-07-2002 04:39 AM

Yes, exactly.

The skill prices aren't bad... about 380 for burning hands, for example. But the little things are way over priced, such as alchemy ingredients, WATER, food, rings (I saw one going for 70,000), and some other stuff.

Lord-Andrew 08-07-2002 04:49 AM

Thash crazhy talk. Things should be like 100 or something. :-D:p

I think the pirces should be like this:
Scroll/Books - 100-200 Platnium depending on rarity
Ingredients - 1-5 platnium
Potions-10-20 platnium

I believe there are quite a few potions that can up your attack and armor intelligence and stuff... plus there are some scrolls that only have temporary effects, so I don't really think you could price them by their type like that.

Dunno.. I swear Unixmad mentioned potions that give you more strength and stuff... If you read one of the documentation topics he made or something.

Anyway, I bought some scroll of magic resistance and it gave me like 21 magic resistance and 5 minutes later it went back to 0 :/

MilkyWay0016 08-09-2002 12:49 AM

I think..........
I'm pretty sure the shop owners are actually trying to rip you off. I mean, really. Like in an rp sense. Because I believe I was talking to some people who had the 'identify' skill, and they claim when you identify most things the prices go way down.
