Getting Annoyed With The Whole Ordeal
Ok, I'm not sure if there are any other threads on this (too lazy to check) so I'll make a new one. Anyway, the point I want to make is that I didn't pay some good money just to watch my character on a black screen all day. Whats the point of p2p if the server is down all the time, I have this funny idea that it is actually a waste of our money, don't you? I knoiw that we can play G2k1 but thats just not fun, and I realise that G2k2 is in Alpha form and there will be bugs, but why don't they just release it later then, when its more fixed? Well, people, post your thoughts.

They release it later = you can't play it now.
They release alpha version now = you can play it but it will be down ocasionally. So you should be thankful they released the alpha or all you would have is 2k1. |
People have been pushing and pushing to get g2k2 released.. and they got what they wanted. If you're so annoyed about it, just don't play.

He has a somewhat valid point. It does not say Graal2002 is in Alpha stage on www.graalonline.com. It does, however, say Alpha on the playerlist. It says nothing about Alpha on http://www.graalonline.com/index.php?topic=3. Possibly add something in the server description that tells it is not the full version? |

That does it. I'm sueing!

The main point I'm trying to make is that we payed money for what? Playing the omg-so-fun-G2k1 and/or watching my G2k2 character on a black screen half the time.

You all *****ed about releasing 2k2, now you want them to fix it. Make up your minds!! :p

Come on everyone. Stefan is on vacation now, and when he gets back I'm sure he'll modify everything so within a few days the server will be up full time. Unixmad, well, I don't exactly know but I assume his skills aren't as great as Stefan's in the coding department, so just be patient for now.
This is a rare occasion, and within a couple weeks time you won't even care anymore. |
There are reasons to keeping it open to the public.
1) There are players out there who demand new things quite often. G2K2 appeases them. Until something goes wrong. 2) Testing. Testing is extremely important. For your dream-server to ever come true, testing and debugging is a necessary part of it. Alpha in video games is synonymous with buggy, often-problematic. 3) To show the public the future of Graal. Once you get past the downers, the problems, etc., you can really see how the new coding and graphics could change the game. |
