Classic lag/screen problem!

Okay, this hasn't happened until recently. There's a strange bug that makes my screen go black and I can barely see. I think it's the night/day system? Anyways, I've got lightingeffects disabled for obvious reasons. Is there something I can do to fix this? What's the problem?

Same happened to me on Maloria today, not that I play it much, but I like to server hop on occasion and see if theres anybody on that I know.

Try pressing alt+8 to see if you can see then, because if you can it's certainly the day/night.
