About Kingdoms/RPing/etc.
Hi. I just figured that I'd make my own crappy post about the RP going on in Graal2001. It's obviously become a big problem for many of you, and to be honest, it's startign to get to me, as well.
The biggest problem we have is, quite simply, that everyone wants to be in charge. Everyone wants to be able to do whatever the **** they want to any Kingdom, player, etc. Well, sorry folks, but it doesn't work like that. Blowing up castles, fighting against your own army, and other stupid things like this are far too common amongst the Kingdoms. Something DOES need to be done. I have a suggestion, I suppose. Bare with me, as I'm thinking it up as I type this. So, it'll be sketchy. We revamp things. As Kasuagi suggested, we take the similar 2k2 approach, in which once a player first connects to Graal, they chose a Kingdom to be loyal to. HOWEVER, this DOES NOT mean they ENLIST in the Kingdo's ARMY. It means things such as the following: 1) Their homeland is the Kingdom's territory. Playerhouses for sale there are available to them, and only them, since they're of that Kingdom. 2) They pay tax, perhaps to the Kingdom, increasing the Kingdom's funds for other things. 3) They have the choice to enlist in the Kingdom's army, and become whatever type of soldier, in order to be paid a certain wage depending on SUCCESSFULLY accomplished missions, done with their similar GROUP of allies (I.e: Group of Knights escorts King to Zormite Kingdom to have a chat with the Zormite King. Chat gets messy. Knights protect King, and escort him back home. They are then sure to be paid a cerain amount when the time comes for their salary.) This, I thought of a while back, and all of the fellow staff know about it, and I think the majority of them liked it. If you want me to explain it in more detail, don't hesitate to ask. Now, that's semi-sorted. Some of you may be asking, however, "What if I don't want to join a Kingdom?". This is a good question. Personally, I like to RolePlay characters who aren't ordered around by anyone. This is also good for people who don't want to have to pay taxes to Kingdoms, and as far as a place to live, can settle with the un-protected neutral zones, such as villas, etc. So, we give players the choice to not be dedicated to a Kingdom, and also let them know that although being without a Kingdom's help may seem cool, it can prove to make things difficult. That is why, however, we have our whole "sub-kingdom" thing. Personally, I'e always hated the Pirate Crw. Just simply due to the fact that they got away with calling themselves a KINGDOM OF PIRATES for so long. It doesn't make any BLOODY sense. But, the IDEA of having a gang of pirates, ro a gang of drunken hobo theives (Karakaze), is a GOOD one. So, if you don't want to join a Kingdom, why not join one of them? Ensures protection, perhaps no taxing, and a nice bit of treasure hunting/raiding/thieving, whatever. Or, if a "sub-kingdom" is created that isn't all negative stealy evil evil and stuff, then players have that to go to. Then again, there's always guilds. Same thing. Whatever. Anyway, moving on. It is important that we work TOGETHER on 2001. It's important that we have a group of RolePlaying Officials that are EXPERIENCED fully in RolePlaying, and can come to a steady agreement as to what should and shouldn't go on in 2001. Sorry, Vermain, but the whole fish-people blowing up a whole Samurai Kingdom out of the blue one merry old day is just retarded. We have to all work together to make things FUN and ENTERTAINING. If the Zormite want to kick the Samurai in the rear, then they've got to inform the RP Dev. Team, and we help both Kingdoms set up a date for one hell of a war, involving proper strategies, castle sieging, and DEATHS that MATTER. I could go on forever, but I think most of you with half a brain and half the experience of a normal RPer can see where I'm going with all this. I'd like to say that I know what I'm talking about, and I'm willing to help everyone get 2001's act together. Hell, I paid for an account, too. I'm not going to sit there and watch my time expire. [cheesy team spirit chant] Let's work together, team! [/cheesy team spirit chant] -Malak -teh andy |
Good idea, but the chant at the end was uncalled for o.o;

Precisely Malak, I have a big kingdom system, that's just wandering aimlessy in one of my many wordpad documents. But Kamuii thanks that everyone is all peachy on Graal2001, when he's totally oblivious to the blinding havok, and friggin' chaos running amidst us all. Kamuii, maybe if you were a player, and experienced Graal2001, like we have. Things would be different, and you would have already realized why we beg, plea, cry, and threaten you like we do. Praytell, some things just never change. |
Kamuii's great at what he does. He wants the same sort of things that I want for 2k1, but one person alone can't do anything. There are ways of getting thigns done, and telling Kamuii that he's doing things wrongisn't the way.
If you want your ideas to be looked at, send them my way. AIM: andyfearsemotion |
yeah, i don't see any point in graal2001 if the kingdom stuff is staying on 2001.
anyways. I also liked the idea of Soldiers and workers getting paid so much if they do their job correctly, if you didn't mention it here. |
Add rogue...non kingdomed people, etc. etc.

Yea Pirate Crew and KT should be under some different title then kingdom, I know its just something that gives them the *kingdom* powers but still....they need to be under a different title. In addition, what the hell is a demon/ghost/voodoo guy/captain running a bunch of Pirates? Like, I know were suppose to be creative but that just a little to much. Anyways, I think that Bomy Gang needs a new name because well....your not a gang if you have a king and queen. And...we need more Euro-kingdom types.

One widely accepted taxonomic system designates five such classifications: animals, plants, fungi, prokaryotes, and protoctists. See table at taxonomy. You lose. |

You've also said in other places that Pirate Crew has no government. |

When Pirate Crew was aded it was called a sub-kingdom and should be today. It is pretty much the same as Karakaze just the pirate theme ) I consider it a sub-kingdom from that time to now, and I try to keep it like a sub-kingdom, which would be up of limited numbers and no big fancy castles |

Kingdoms are bigger, badder, and can have bigger areas. Sub-kingdoms are smaller and can only have a certain number of levels. |

Well we only have a small number of levels don't we I'm not going to make no SUPER LARGE 1000 level castle for pirate crew All Pirate Crew really needs is a boat + Sub-Kingdoms are be as big and bad as they want, just gotta know how to do it |
