I think that staff should have toys, and i know im gonna get like 1 million replys *****ing at me but think about this. They work hard they add new things they script etc. And what do they get for it?
Being called corrupt? lazy? abusive? Wtf they sure as hell dont get payed. So besides all the normal users being jealous what logical explanation is there for *****ing about staff toys? As long as they script them in their spare time and it doesnt become a problem, I see nothing wrong.

they get their (Staff) tags and warpto and a say in what goes on
and if the staffers are staff just for their staff toys
then they shouldn't be staff in the first place

Funny how most of the time when we test NPC's, it's considered toys and such. :( Ah well... We had an arguement about this once on RC... we decided not to have anymore toys due to the fact of it being unfair and not doing our "job".

Dunno what really should happen. I remember a long time ago (lol just over a year) when staff toys were fun and staff held events with em. man that was fun.

Man... I even remember when I wanted to be a GP on classic sooooooooo bad. loool

Anywho, we got rid of just about everything we didn't "need" so yeah. Say what you want, but some people are just too *****y about some people having fun.

(BTW: We were planning to make the world turn on it's side, but AlexH shot us down :()

Do what you want, the players can't stop you, so who cares.

Here is my opinion on this, and trust me, I know quite a lot about this subject:

Staff are working for Graal to help out the server. Sure, they don't get paid, but this is not an excuse to goof off with toys that they make on the server. Birdbird would ALWAYS use this as an excuse "liek I'm just bloweng off steem! i werk hard!" This is not an excuse to warp players around, play with toys, and do things that have negative impacts to the players that are paying for this game.

Now, I don't really see any problem with this as long as it's kept HIDDEN FROM PLAYERS. It's bad enough they're goofing off with toys anyway, but then they do it IN FRONT OF PLAYERS. They also involve players in their "horseplay" and screw around with things like warping everyone to them, killing people by giving them 0 hearts, going on a killing spree using a zalactic gun and calling that testing. NO. That is not testing. Testing is a select group of people in a private level, that have agreed for you to kill them to test the gun. Not going out and testing your latest npc on the people that play to enjoy themselves.

The biggest problem isn't the affect it has on players, and the overal professionalism of the game, it's the fact that when staff play with toys, that is all they do. They don't work on new quests, new things for the server, etc. They just script toys that they can show off and use on players. It gets to the point where they might as well be labeled "Staff Toy Maker". I think when it gets to the point where a staff member makes something solely for themself to use, it's going too far.

what i think life is all about is kind of like graal, have as much fun as you can, only think of yourself and then die.

while in graal its pretty much the same just substitute die with quit and so on

Yup, he speaks the truth. Back in the day, I'd get PKed by Birdbird, and guess who would come running back at me to give me 300g? You guessed it!

How this justifies PKing a player with staff toys, I'll never know.

Koni, your absolutely right, I learned that over time, rather than realizing what I did last year, oh well, I don't do any of that stuff anymore, and I remember back then when I did, I rembursed people (most of the time x_x) If I caused them damages, to avoid lawsits .ect
