Phone Account Question

My mate in australia, wishes to upgrade his account, but he doesn't have a credit card, and he wants to use the phone dialier, but there is no choice on the phone dialier for 'Australia' as a place of origin, would it matter if he chose, lets say 'America' and it wouldn't affect him and he could still upgrade through the phone dialer without any problems?

I suggest using Canada, because the CAD and the AUD are very close.

1 CAD = 1.16 AUD
