Level Contest
 

Alright all! someone suggested we do these from time to time and it sounded fun so I thought I'd start one off. The Theme is inside levels using some sort of outside theme, like water, grass, fire, ice whatever. Check mine out its a water theme kinda thing i just made up real quick for this, it came out kinda nice but...ya kno its quick so it might have a tile error or 28. = ) Omi actually now that im looking back at this...it really sucks haha, well say what you will.

I give it a 9.5 out of 10. Since, perfect 10s are like, impossible to get, in theory. Anyway, that level rocks. The specialized graphics make it 10 times better, and I must say, those lamps sure are pretty ;). Very nice water edge tiling, as always. The only thing I don't like are those tree thingies, the ugly ones with the red on top. But besides those, that level is godly. It'd be fun to fish there or something.

wow some guys on the forums are the most BORING level makers ive ever made. good lord, have some fun with it, isnt that the point considering this is a game.

An Lat can only do so much with tiles. It's not our job to make anything possible. Its our job to make levels. Nothing happens in levels. For anything to happen that would be the job of the scripter buddy not the level maker. It's not any one persons to make anythign happen but all three graphics levels and scripts. Get a clue before you say something stupid again.

wow...you are a retard...did you read the rest of the thread before going and dissing me, no i didnt think so. But then again, i doubt you know how to read, and if "nothing happens in levels" and you rely so heavily upon your scripters and gat's to make you levels worth while, then you suck.

It shows what the **** you know yes I read the whole 3 sentences your brain is capable of writing. You based everything on the LAT's. Our job is to make the levels thats it. Tiles dont do anything. They dont attack you, They dont farm, They dont follow you around like a bomy. Graphics enhance levels but are more necessary for scripters since with out graphics they would have nothign to put there scripts in such as bomy's. Yes I read what you said every word that showed your stupidity. Every word after my post that continued to show your stupidity. An overworld doesnt do anything. It sits there scripts are what causes anything to happen. Not a bunch of random tiles places on a level. Use you're 3 brain cells and think about what your'e saying before you actually post it.

/addon are you ****ing stupid? Yes! I cant read but yet I'm sitting here typing posts that show just how big of a ****ing *****g you are. If you put two of your brains together you still wouldnt even have half a brain.

All 3 categories are equally required so quit you're *****ing.
Without:
No Graphics = No levels
No Levels = No need for graphics
No Graphics = No Npc's
No Npc's = No need for Graphics
No levels = No Scripts to put in levels
etc.. etc..

OMG wts is wrong with you guys? I said that its the lat's job to make cool levels to make your experience fun, did i ever say that scripts and gfx arent necessary, of course not, of course they're necessary! jesus, but levels are necessary to, and you need to do them well and be original and be creative and be fun just as much as the other two, and i dont appreciate being called a ***** and retard when i dont know you and you sure as hell dont know me! how bout getting to know me and my server before judging. My god, and now i know why people hate the forums so much, ya go on, say your opinion (LIKE YOU SUPPOSED TO) then you take a *****out lesson and people calling you names like a 3rd grader for the rest of the thread....ridiculous.

There is a big difference between the two.

i dunno man...i meant the same thing, maybe you misunderstood me but i was just saying that the lat makes the basic level that everyone is in, and it hasta be interesting to keep the players interest. I never said that scripters or gat's were worthless or simply worth less then the lat, because they certainly arent. But if you have the coolest scripts in the world and the awesomest graphic and gani to go with it, but its on a big field of grass, the server still sucks.

Next time please be more clear.

npcs dont need gfx

Ok bamboo doesnt need bamboo graphics. Kung fu doesnt need kunfu graphics. We dont need graphics for bird shot. Or carts. We dont need graphics for mining hammer. We dont need bird graphics for birds. We dont need dragon graphics for dragons.

I think this pretty much speaks for its self.

I Thought doomsday's levels are good i suppose apart from the trees....
How come ur lat admin i was talking to tifa i think it was about being a lat or somert i sent her my level she was impressed:)
but how come....ur levels admin are u any better at outside that inside id post mine but i just reformatted my graal pc with all my levels on are now deleated kinda scary my levels rule!!.

Im trying to translate this into english but am failing...The outside of Doomsday that you saw (myriada, the main continent) was made by Jubei Saotome, former levels admin and owner. Since then Forestia has been added (if you go to the west bank of Myriada you'll find a way to get there) which was made by former levels admin and gm, Dameion. Also there is a third overworld section which is much smaller called mortis, which is basically staff housing, which can be found on the way to forestia, this was made by our current asst levels admin Jenzer. It is in heavy revision so if you visit it and notice it sucks, it does, give it some time. This all leads into the basic plot of doomsday for its RP which will begin shortly. Myriada is the home of two kingdoms, Haven, which is neutral and the main chill spot of DD. Next is Nymercia who is in the eastern section of myriada, they are at war with Eldaran, which is located in forestia. But in all basicality 90% of DD life is spent in Myriada, a revised Jubei world. I personally am an inside level specialist, so most of the newer inside levels and towns and outsides are made by me or my current staff. I hope this clears it up, thanks for listening =)

I prefer to see outside tiles used outside. :\

comeon you guys have never seen outside tiles used inside before?! tons of people make levels like that and tehy come out great....i dont mean make an outside level with walls around it, just used stuff like water and whatnot, like look at mine in the second post, it just has some flowing water in it with some lilypads and stuff, its fun to make stuff like that, its a bit different ya know? Just give it a shot, it'll be fun, and with the 1337 mofo level makers in here they'll prolly come out really good. :D
