i dont have the power to do any of that, but honestly, did it REALLY hurt your time spent on graal to have a different nick for 30 seconds, at like 2:30 in the morning?

ShadowKnight Power Abuse, huh? :rolleyes: Look, first off, the only reason that all the names were changed to that was because there was someone who made a script that wasn't supposed to change the player's names, just the rcs, but it was badly scripted. The nicknames that were changed to me, NOTICE! were all rc accounts! That is because I scripted a script that worked right. I don't see how this is power abuse...but whatever. You guys act like were so bad, if you want to see bad go to some other servers, we are responsibly staff, and I believe we deserve some resepct, don't think that we abuse power. Shadow Knight sent out an apology and I hope that everyone is feeling ok about this, we played with rcs and it was not supposed to effect non-rc sorry about that. No biggie, right?

In my mind, there are two forms of power abuse:


(1) Induction of misery through means not available to commoners.

(2) Imbalancing the Graalian economy.



This could possibly be a class one abuse, however, changing your name/head/hat doesn't really constitute misery. Having your account reset for no good reason, on the other hand, would be a case of abuse.


As an example, economic imbalancing would be giving away gralats obtained through RC, AdminNPC, or NPCs intended to cause such imbalance.

Shadow Knight is about the worst guy you could hire. He hardly does anything and just gets the job for fun toys. :rolleyes:

Why do you guys complain? You know that if you had RC you'd abuse it too.

I can't possibly fathom how changing everyone's names on the server is "fun". If the staff think that's fun, and they actually laugh about it, I feel sorry for them.

whoever scripted the thing that set all the player nicks didn't mean it to do that, they probably switched the < with > in the strlen for the #F attribute

I believe this is why pre-NPC-server Graal versions did not let you edit account names/guild names in an NPC script.

I don't like Shadow Knight, either. We all know he had something to do with Carl way back when Sage's RC was *cough* "hacked."

How I would use it wouldn't be abuse. Overkill maybe, but not abuse. Like if I hear about some idiot scamming I would delete all his money. But I wouldn't do anything that's absolutely groundless like banning a person for no reason.

I thought we removed all the staff NPC's... I'll look into it.

It's not there anymore, we were bored last night and a few people with NC were changing each other's nicks but someone screwed up with their script and it changed everyone's instead

Calm down. I was stating truth, he gave his online girlfriend on Graal hats, gralat, etc. He basically fools around and says he does things. I know he is a good scripter but he doesn't focus and he tends to make more toys than anything else if he does make something. Things like that shouldn't have been scripted in the first place, what would be the use? "HEY DUDE I CAN CHANGE EVERYONEZ NAME LELZ I AM SO DAMN COOL HAHAHAHQ@$@%%. " Give me a break. :rolleyes:

I also have to agree with Lamer. NightLord was the 2nd best game master is my opinion, he kept everyone in line.

I talked to NL everyday. He sure was an *******, but a cool guy. I bugged him soo much. God, I miss him.

(1) ShadowKnight sucks and does nothing.
I have a few 4 letter words for the idiot who said that, A LOT of the things on Graal2001 that you love were probably scripted by him. He didn't change everyone's name, it wasn't his fault, I won't point fingers at who I believe made the error. However he was playing around, like NORMAL HUMANS tend to do, he should be scolded for having a little bit of fun, from all the fun he has given you people, he deserves to be able to do whatever he likes.
(2) When NightLord was around things like this didn't happen.
Personally I never talked to NightLord, however I doubt he could prevent a few staff members from having a little fun, and if he did I am glad he is gone, I am soooo sorry your fricking graal name was changed for a few secound, I believe setnick STILL works. :rolleyes: Quit complaining...
(3) The staff are stupid.
Very true, all of them should be killed, see how you fare then? I think you would start getting mad at each other because npcs wern't working properly and they needed to be fixed...:rolleyes:

Cool your damn heels boy. :cool: I never said he sucked, he hardly does anything, if you can show me atleast 5 things he has scripted that had some importance to Graal2001 I'll give you a bone. My Graal name was never changed, I was simply agreeing that a game that is trying to be professional shouldn't have little immature kids playing with toys, you weren't hired to do that. Plus, things like that shouldn't have been scripted and I pity whoever hired the guy who made that. Now stop acting like Shadow Knight is some god because he simply isn't. I think you should quit complaining. :)

Also, what is there to love on 2001? Repetitive D button pressing? Sounds like fun. I'm sure it will be improved later but now Graal2001 doesn't draw my attention at all, none of the servers do but konidias' upcoming playerworld. If you want to debate over this matter just send me a forum PM, we don't need arguing in this thread or any thread.

No admin has the right to "play around" with people on their RC.
They get RC so they can DO THEIR JOB not so they can play with it. RC is a tool, not a toy. If it cannot be used correctly by those who have it it should be taken away from them, simple as that.
