Account question, is this possible?

Is it possible for perhaps Stefan or Unixmad to find out when an account was created? Perhaps there is a log or something? A date? Or any possible way?

It would be a big help for me and the other people that can't remember exactly when they started playing Graal.

feivel 06-21-2002 01:10 AM

yes, that would be really helpful!

Im pretty sure its Possible my first account was Callumhead or Headcallum or something like that heh

Would be more helpfull if they deleted inactive accounts. Like ooo lets say the account named "Zorg" which hasnt been used..ever. I would like an account with that name but I cant get it cause its already taken.

I wanted the account "DragonX" and I got it. Just send unixmad a support desk ticket explaining that it's inactive and that you would actually use it, he will check if it's inactive than if it isn't active he will delete it :)

Pir 06-21-2002 01:30 AM

heh, most people can figure it out on their own, i start around 1.37 or 1.38 i think, or something like that. like, 2 versions before graal 2001 came out

thats what i did for this account, i ask unixmad via support desk if Pir was active, and he said it had been in active for many months and deleted it, so er1c made it for me ( i dont have an ISP mail ) and i upgraded it

There's probably a log somewhere, but the Accounts Management team doesn't have access to it, or maybe things have changed since I last asked.

Wait, so you can just request to have an account of your choice that someone else had and get it deleted (and ready for someone else to recreate it for YOU again) if the other person with the account hasn't been using it??? That's not good...I'm going to be in Fort Benning for Basic Training for 14 weeks straight...what if somebody decides to do that with MY account? I might still use it after I get out...

If you really think someone might do that, have someone you know keep it warm for you.

That's beside the actual point. I mean, shouldn't there be more regulations on doing that?

Well, at least I know how to spell advice and friend. :p

I don't even trust my own brother to keep an eye on it for me, much less let someone else use it.

Pir 06-21-2002 01:55 AM

i dunno, maybe unixmad did it because i work for him and stefan i dunno.

the email said they werent going to do it untill july but it was deleted the next day

Most likely it, since probably they trust you well enough. I HOPE that's why, anyway. -_- They hardly delete accounts anyway unless they are outdated staff accounts, right?

well unixmad said they were going to delete old accounts anyways...maybe he did it just becuase they had planned on it anyways

AlkarenHyralt 06-21-2002 02:08 AM

Only unixmad and stefan can see that kind of stuff. Mainly because it is probably stored in the MySQL database

Xerphier Dintch 06-21-2002 02:53 AM

I hope they wouldn't delete an idle upgraded account for you.

Might be possible, but why would they spend time just to find out when people joined? :(

Because it would please the customers greatly. ;)

Andor_RC9 06-21-2002 04:21 AM

It dont matter for me, I know I have played since the Zelda 2 days, but thanks for the info on how to get an account I wanted. ;)

LOA--Paul 06-21-2002 05:41 AM

Ter get your dad to log onto Graal once amonth!

leimoubai2002 06-21-2002 05:55 AM

master_ball:

Its very possible.

Accually no really but it says when your account signed up when hackers leach it out.

Zolrieg 06-21-2002 06:05 AM

I've got a worthy question. How do you know if an account is inactive and not in use, I'd like an account, but someone might be using it still.

Andor_RC9 06-21-2002 06:33 AM

lets see.. ask unixmad, ask unixmad, or maybe ask unixmad! Your choice, choose wisely
