Wah dont my lights work? WAH!

ummm....meh has a problem....
i cannot see light effects...
the checkmark is checked in the options part for seeing lights...
i dont know why this is...and what to do about it!
this happened on my old computer too! *weird*
they work on all other computers that i have see so why me?
do u know how to fix this?

1. You need DirectX, the newest one perferably.

2. Keep it UNCHECKED, it's [ ] Do not use DirectX (light effects), not [ ] Use Light Effects or anything x.x
