new forums and stuff!

I think Alkaren or whoever is in charge of this, should be able to add a few new forums. this is just an idea, don't be too harsh towards my ignorance.

Main Forum:
Main Forum

Servers:
Graal Classic
Graal 2001
Graal 2002
NewWorld (if they're even still working on it)

Kingdoms:
Dustari
Forest
Pirate
Samurai
Zormite
Karakaze Troupe

Support:
Future Improvements
Complaints Forum
Bugs/Problems

Development:
Level Building
Graphic Design
NPC Scripting (do away with NPC Server)

Playerworlds:
Current Playerworlds
Upcoming Playerworlds

Other:
Non-Graal Forum
Roleplaying Forum

know of any forums that should be added or removed, just post your comments. please try to refrain from the negative stuff though, thanks.

But if the other fourms had to be added it shouldn't show all the sub fourms.
It will make the the page too big.

only reason I said Complaints Forum is because of all the threads pertaining to complaints that make their way through here. that way no one has to look at 'em anymore. :p

oh yeah, good point about the page being too big. maybe there's a hack or something that uses rollovers or dhtml menus. that would be uber neat.

I'm sure Alk will know about that.
It's only a matter of time before he reads this thread. :)

I've been wanting new forums for a while. Not enough people right now though.

I need to convinace unixmad of a couple things first before really any more are added.

albus777 06-17-2002 06:48 AM

Get a new version of vBulletin too.

Get unixmad to upgrade the forums.

Why not just wait till Sept. when vB 3.0 beta is released then wait a little longer for the actual releases?

Anyway...while ya'll are at it, why not fix the copyright at the bottom considering the way it is now is against vB tos?

this is Graal, duhhh. copyright has no meaning here, haven't you learned that already? :p

voicedcow6666 06-17-2002 09:37 AM

lmao, yeah...your right..haha, what have I been thinking...

Ghost Pirate 06-17-2002 09:45 AM

It be cool if you were capable of opening and closing the sub forums on main page (sort of like how it is on the graal website)

the default would be all closed tho

voicedcow6666 06-17-2002 09:53 AM

I believe there is a vB mod for that. Just get someone with FTP who isn't lazy to install it....good luck finding someone who isn't lazy...

haha. now you're learning bud, laziness is a bliss here at Graal, and often required when aquiring adminship.

voicedcow6666 06-17-2002 10:10 AM

lol, yeah. I was an admin on Delteria, I wasn't lazy at all. Although I did start going insane, caused by the players of course.

lol, so that will never happen....

yeah....vB3 is going to be awesome...a complete rewrite...I can't wait, and I don't even use vB...I'm a cheap bastard, I use phpBB. :D

SinNetherwind 06-17-2002 10:59 AM

Nope, but thanks for taking time to think that out =)

Zolrieg 06-17-2002 11:00 AM

I'm trying to install phpNuke on my site.

Ghost Pirate 06-17-2002 11:02 AM

I wish I understood PHP and the forums =X

voicedcow6666 06-17-2002 11:06 AM

PHP is really simple. You may think it's hard, but it's not. You'll most likely start out from echo'ing "Hello World!" to your browser, then find yourself writing complex programs that you never dreamed that you could make. PHP is awesome, I love it to death. =)

I'd ask you to help me, but the 666 in your account name frightens me!

I wish I understood how to understand. :(
