Level Editor Layers
*Not regular user*
I think a good addition to graal editing would be layers like consoles such as SNES and GBA support. It would also correspond with playerz. Layer 1 is under the player; layer 2 is player level; layer 3 is tree layer or house roofs...ext.-- draws over player; and layer 4 is for birds, effects(fog) and anything else. Playerz can also interact, if playerz>5 then it would be tree level, and such. I think it would work good. Heres a pic I made: New Editor |
many of us have been trying to get tile layers added for a long time now -_-
It would be nice...very nice :( |
go in paint open the tiles and make your own images for it... or just complain till stefan does this ;)

I'm not sure you understand my idea of layers. By what i mean is that on layer one you put grass and such, which draws under the player, and layer two the houses tree stumps or whatever else you would normally have on a player level. Layer 3 is above the player drawing over the player, such as the leaves to the tree. If your familiar with emulation and SNES you would understand. It would probably stop alot of lag for people using NPCs so trees act like they did on Zelda link to the past.

Sounds like a good idea. It would be really helpful.

new world has some.. erm adequite layers...
and stefan may not release them now since he has no real need since 3d world.. itd be even harder to draw layers with transparet tiles on a flat world, rather a 3d world with stretched\shaded\lighted images but who knows... theres always 2003 :-) |
age of the ancients
